I like the idea of cover to make the level more interesting, we'll play with that idea in the future for sure.
As for boss vs player design, that's a very fair point. Our team is newer to making assets so we used a hybrid of our own and purchased assets, so the player was our creation while the first boss was a purchased asset. We'll definitely be honing our skills as we continue making games though :)

Overall the game is pretty fun, make sure you don't lose all your speed and learn how to avoid boss attacks while still dishing out some major damage. Great work on the powerup too, I like that it stacks within your current life but you can lose them if you die, incentivizing the player to change strategy a bit after gaining them.
The sound was the biggest downside for me. The sounds themselves were nice, but the shooting sounds from the player and satellites are a little loud especially when there are many firing.
Really great concept, and looking forward to seeing more games from you!
