Really appreciate you taking the time to not only check out my submission but to write such detailed feedback. The in-game tutorial experience was something I had not really done before so I am thrilled that you found it to be a good experience. I learned a lot from doing it and most importantly the feedback received for it. So yes first scene suffered a little bit from the time constraint as it was originally planned for the elevator to come down but the gate not opening fast enough, so still the outcome however not as cool or intention translating to the player. Completely agree with the running, I intended to do more to make it more needed and tactical with the inhalers however once again time constraint got me :) Amazing, I went into this jam thinking if I could have at least 1 person play this and express that they wanted more, it would be a huge achievement. Thank you!
This needs more exposure, what an experience it was super fun dimension hopping and figuring out what needed to be done to get the ingredients. Great meshes and environments, they way they have been implemented really pulls together that strange place theme. From one solo dev to another, amazing job!
Thank you very much for your kind words! I am so happy that element of tension and pressure translates to the player in the strange environment :) Completely agree with you that the differences in walls could be clarified better so the player is informed on their threat, something I am looking to update post jam so watch this space! I was so immersed in your game by the way it's got such a great style to it
Thank you very much! I am happy that you think so and fun archaeology mechanics with a tense ambience was exactly what I was going for so I am glad you experienced that :) Appreciate this feedback and I agree I intended for it to look more threatening/clear it is lethal and will make an update on that post jam. Speaking of mechanics the ones in your game are great and unique!
Really great environmental design! Lots of different resources that are placed clearly and logically, made the connection quickly to find ingredients which felt good. One thing that did happen was the my first request was for a "special potion". I could not figure out what this was from the potion book, maybe my own skill issue there though lol so had to restart
Thanks for sharing this, such a great mechanic of timing the placement where your stickers are, there so much strategy that can go into that! I did have some moments where it looked like the attack window fired twice and that multiple effects happened in one turn, maybe it is something I didn't understand?
Wow this was very entertaining and a greatly surreal, your dialogue was clever and funny and you even accounted for the cases where players would try and do something ahead of being informed what to do, even when they click the vending machine at the start out of curiosity and find the key prior to talking to dan. Great job and thanks for checking out my game and leaving a kind comment!
Very interesting game design I don't think I've played anything like it and I really enjoyed it! Super cool to see the coins drop after completing a complex request and then the strategy of expanding your storage. I think a quick in game tutorial at the start of the basics would make the game shine as it took me a while to figure out what was going on :) One solo dev to another, awesome job!
Thank you so much! I am glad the intended experience was delivered as I felt the players should feel some pressure in their excavation method :) Yes agreed the quick pace at the start makes things fairly disorientating, the intention is that the player should feel extra intrigue from going to an already strange environment to a stranger one. Very happy that you enjoyed it, your game entry is fantastic!
I'm in awe with the fluidness of the animation and the polish of the UI and systems, its abundantly clear every detail has been carefully thought about and implemented resulting in an incredibly engaging experience. Really fun working out the strategy and satisfying seeing the flip and the result, and the fact you can reliably get them to flip to what you want with the right technique is so cool! I want to see this develop so have followed you
The sound design is really good and the art is very intriguing, I like how the portal destinations expanded as you went from day to day. I think if for the starting level had a quick guide to send your first customer on their way then the player can jump straight into the challenge informed. One solo dev to another, Great job!
This needs to get seen by more people, simple on the outset however I feel like there is plenty of strategic depth and potential! Loved the SFX and the clearness of what is occurring and how it is scored and a speed up button for QoL. One solo dev to another, Incredible work this is very original! Managed to get 250,000 value which I am proud of :)
Really nicely polished and presented with plenty of juice, its fun trying to determine the vibe of the guests to how they influence your club stats. Great pacing of the mechanics also kept it engaging night to night. Music popping off as the hype grows. Probably just me however an option to turn off the camera shake in the que scene would be super
