That shouldn’t be a problem. It’s possible to get Fingus back. You can deal with the three boulders afterwards.

In fact there’s a separate issue that makes the three boulders puzzle entirely optional.

The iPhone version is probably permanently gone? :(

And a final one... I think this one is supposed to read "La mort fst est passage".

(For the most part I didn't attempt to read background text. Most just seemed to be gibberish? I hope I didn't miss much.)

Hah I feel silly now. I didn't realize I got control back after the screen shake. I was waiting for the camera movement to stop :p  I really didn't expect an autoscroll section...

I've finished it now. It's a beautiful game, I'm quite impressed with it.

I'm stuck after getting the letter "U". When I tried to leave the room where I found that letter, I got the message "You came here to find my power, but are you worthy enough" and I was forced back. When I try again, I'm forced back again. I don't see an alternate exit. I feel I'm softlocked, but I'm not sure what I did wrong.
