Updated the beta build to include the following changes
- Added an option in the Settings menu to set the path to Konga Launcher (General > Settings > Konga Launcher Path).
- Updated "Play Now" to start Konga Launcher if it is not open already.
- Updated file explorer system to improve the user experience when selecting a folder.
- Updated the BPM and time signature page of the new project setup to clarify the user is only setting the song's starting BPM and time signature.
- Updated the Unity runtime library to address a severe security vulnerability.
I'm glad you like it! Adding measure numbers sounds like a great idea. I'll look at implementing it in the next update (1.0.5).
I'm also going to research how to best implement an offset feature. BagleBug previously gave similar feedback about wanting to set the offset, so you're not alone in wanting that in Konga Beat. I don't know if I'll have a solution ready for 1.0.5, but I'd like to add it in the following update.
I can't commit to a specific date because of work and other personal obligations. That said, I aim to release 1.0.5 in about ~2 weeks. In the meantime, if you run into any other pain points, please don't hesitate to let me know!
And don't worry if you haven't been able to do a perfect run of your songs yet. I would still be happy to include them in the showcase. 😊
Thank you for the write-up! This feedback is super helpful. I love the idea of having all three solo difficulties visible simultaneously.
Right now, I'm prototyping a launcher to make playing custom tracks in DK2 and 3 easier. Once I reach a good stopping point, I'll start tackling some of these bugs and requests. That said, if anything else come to mind, please let me know! 😊
I just added the tracks to the new community showcase page. 😄
If you don't mind me asking, how has your experience been with Konga Beat? Is there anything KB could do to make creating tracks easier?
