Thanks for the feedback!  I'll definitely think about bullet size and the boss hp some more.  Turning on the player hitbox indicator might help avoid bullets if you haven't tried that yet.

EDIT: I should also mention in case you aren't using it much, the "focus" mode of firing is really important for damage output as well as maneuverability.

As for the infinite continues, that was on purpose for this submission.  I wanted it to be accessible for anyone that isn't as skilled at these types of games but wants to get to the end.  And you can always restart when you die instead of continuing if you want a little more challenge.  A full game version will probably have a limit of some kind, but I haven't thought that through yet.

Thanks!  I probably will keep working on it in the future to make it a full game.  Already starting to think about what I want to add next haha.

Thank you!  I really appreciate it!  Luckily I had quite a bit of free time during this game jam (although more time certainly would have been nice, haha) so I wanted it to be as polished as I could make it.  I'm glad that effort came through.

Thanks!  Glad you enjoyed it!  Yeah, I wish I had the time to make a proper intro/outro and flesh out a story, but I ended up spending way too much time trying to get some decent art haha.  Might add something to it in the near future.

A nice read with some great music.

Great art style on this.  Would have liked to see more of the story and maybe a dance sequence at the end, but overall I think this was executed nicely and I could see it being turned into a good idle game in the future if fleshed out a bit more.

Nice!  Loved the voice acting haha.  The only issue I had was after several nights sometimes ships would spawn right next to rocks near the edge of the screen and there was nothing I could do about it.  But good job on this!  Definitely fits the theme really well.

Interesting idea!  It took me a while to figure out how to actually do anything, so a little more guidance/tutorial would have been nice.  The camera sensitivity seems way too high for me and I didn't see an option for adjusting it, so that took some getting used to haha.

Pretty fun!  It's impressive you were able to get something like this running!  I'm very bad at it and had to try many times before I finally was able to land the plane on the easy difficulty.  Lining up with the runway was probably the hardest thing for me, so I think it would be nice if the difficulty options would also spawn the player in different places (easier difficulties could be more in line with the runway, for example).

Short, but nice.  This has a lot of potential and I'd love to see it fleshed out a bit more some day.

Story and controls are detailed on the game's page, so be sure to click that before downloading.
