This story was really nice. My favourite parts were the absolute banging spider story and the "as close as me?" comment (and the tardigrade video I love those things)

Holy shit man, this feels like the kind of thing volcanos erupt over, both beautiful and devastating. I think, given the choice, I'd turn the clock back five minutes and do this again for the first time at least a couple times even if the end result was the same every time.
