It seems to be an issue with the game's signature not matching the demo's signature.
After trying multiple installers I finally found the error. It is that the Game's signature does not match the demo's signature, so it cannot install on top of it.
Can the devs please take a look at this.

I am having the same issue. I don't want to lose my demo save data!
How does the Patreon work? Do we join your Patreon for $25 a month and we get access to the base game? Which tier is required to get the game?
