super silly little game. i enjoyed it a lot, and did complete it, although encountered a couple little bugs. anyways, cool game!

these images i think show all the bugs i encountered… so the medic cat kept healing, but the healing orbs got stuck and didn’t heal my other cat. and then the rat king got stuck attacking the medic, but could not damage it..? and then after, the particles stayed, and the wave didn’t ever seem to end.
ah, i’d hoped nobody would run into any problems with this, but alas, just as i had expected. balancing to make it possible for everyone was probably the most important and difficult part of making it for me, and i thought i did an alright job, although i suppose it was not enough. a disability mode is a good idea, and i think we talked about it for a short while during development, although it was never implemented.
I’m playing on MacOS, and I can’t get past the Tower of Hanoi game because the clicks don’t work right. It seems to be weirdly offset or something. First click with the yellow works right, but with the orange, I have to go far to the left, and I assume with the red it’s even further to the left, but I can’t click that far. The destination poles also seem to be offsetted or something when placing.
Once I got into the project, it took less than 10 minutes. It was a single line of code I had to modify. I just added logging to find out how to filter it out, and then did that. I used Unity for a very short period years ago, but I seem to have remembered most of the basic functionality, which made it easier.
Itch app can fix this, however some people (like myself) don’t feel like installing it.
Two possible things could be happening. The first one can be fixed by doing the following. After extracting:
- Open Terminal app.
cd Downloadsor whichever folder you used to downloadxattr -dr com.apple.quarantine Digital-Logic-Sim.app
After that, you should be able to run. If you still can’t, try the following:
chmod +x Digital-Logic-Sim.app/Contents/MacOS/Digital-Logic-Sim
and all errors should be fixed. If anyone else on Mac needs support, I can help.
