Huzzah!

I'm finding the same - definitely going up against teams that couldn't possibly be where they are after that many turns.

I'm finding myself up against teams that it seems unlikely or impossible that they could be at that strength at that many turns. I've won once with a lucky break out of lord-knows how many turns. Love playing it but it feels a bit not quite balanced

Yeah, it's not the inability to select a socketed head, it's not knowing where on the screen to click it rather than it just leaving the zoomed view.

It does leave the problem of not knowing where on the screen to click the tool, it just keeps dropping back out of view-socket.

For me as well. Guessing it's not scaling to the higher res or something like that.

So for the five that don't work, three give feedback for being incorrect sockets, and two give no feedback at all

Ahh. Duly noted.

Well, I have five sockets from the storage room and none of them work, even attached to Rooter's head. So there's that.

Saved with Rooter on the other side of the shelf, activated forklift, which ran over Ace. Cut to the two of them walking back into the room, so I loaded my save, but it just came to the same spot with both of them on the door side of the forklift instead of rooter on the other side. Then went to talk to Rooter again - clicked the talk icon and the UI pointer became a loading ring and stuck that way. Rest of the engine still working, just locked out of any interaction.

No, I agree. The arrow indicates it should spin the other way to me as well.

Seconded

I couldn't decide whether or not it's a deliberate thing that Rooter will go in the opposite direction to where you click if his head is detached. It made me giggle but it might not be deliberate :p

Another UI gripe: When I picked up the keycard there was no indication at all that I'd picked anything up. No "Acquired item" dialogue or any indication that I'd done the right thing except that I then checked and it was in my inventory.

In the first corridor at the back, one of the interactions is described as "ace_hand_backhall_w_steam"

Presuming that should say something else or not be there.

And another: When you click the walk icon to transition screens, it's stuck in that action until you actually transition - there doesn't seem to be any way to cancel that command once you've clicked it.

I'll add to this - when viewing inventory, the way to exit is to click outside the inventory, there's no X marking, or exit button - I intuitively pressed ESC to exit the inventory but that jumped straight to the "Quit Playing SpaceVenture?" popup.
