People love to just say things without doing the bare minimum of digging themselves. Before saying something with no factual basis about something someone is working on perhaps consider checking the discord or patreon, where the dev has made recent posts discussing the development work.
I get the sentiment but these things take time, especially with all the nonsense going on around the world when it comes to adult content. Payment processors especially are putting pressure on censoring or banning "extreme" adult content related payments entirely, thus itch.io trying to de-list games and causing issues for many developers.
