I think some were gaining multiple levels in one session, which might be WAD so I don't know. It might also be a taste thing. I'm more of a fan of the "slow burn" so it caught me off guard, haha.
Another question if something is WAD: I'm playing a scenario where both me and my wife have become immobile and housebound. A carer is assigned to both of us. I'm only able to order food for myself and the carer, my wife does not eat anything, and the only interactions I can have with my spouse are us chatting. When we chat, the only topic that comes up is her family. Is this intended?
I'm really loving this update so far! I love all the new personalities, and am trying to do a run with each one just to see the dialogue changes. I also really like the new living arrangement mechanics and the girls calling me--those feeders are especially aggressive LOL. The living arrangement stuff is fun because I've always timed my Gourmand upgrades to them. The new "post game" content is pretty trippy, but it's still a fun loop to go through.
I'm not sure if this is per se a bug, but I noticed that feeder and feedee girls get upset once I/they have grown out of certain activities on the day trip dates. Would you consider ever adding more detail to some of those interactions? I would think in a specifically kinky relationship that the feeling might be different. Another thing I'd note is the balance with the feeder girls seems a bit steep, they very quickly go up in feeder levels and tend to go hard. I don't assume they have to pay for their levels with money like the player, and I guess I haven't looked but is their XP curve the same as ours? It might make more sense or smooth things out a bit for them to have an increased XP cost per level.
I think having independent ordering as an option is a good idea. With player WG at least, I could see maybe not eating the same as whatever girl you're dating could make her less open to over-indulging for herself or something like that, while it could be easier for her to eat more if you're also eating a lot. It's a rough balance because I do like that the player WG is a hard mode that would force any player that doesn't want to get too fat too fast to take it slow.
Maybe different workout options? One that adds more fitness but isn't quite as powerful for calorie loss and another that is a lot of calorie loss but adds only a little fitness. Maybe a treadmill or aerobics class with a fitness instructor. It's not how IRL diet and exercise work, but it's close enough.
I was about to comment on this subject after having a brief run up to immobility last night. I think exercise/fitness for the player might need some balancing so that it's both (1) harder to build fitness and (2) easier to lose weight.
I wanted to bring up (1) because it felt like even when I would exercise maybe three times a week, and then only two times, I was gaining fitness very consistently up to the point of immobility. I don't know what the best way to approach it is, or if it should count as a problem. Maybe there are diminishing marginal returns above "base" fitness? Maybe the decay back to base should be stronger based on BMI? I'm just ideas-guying.
OMG, I think you are right on the money with this. I definitely think adding those customization options would make great challenge runs, though I would as a player personally go more for a standard "whatever the RNG gives me" approach to this game. Sorry for the elaborate ideas-guying that follows, I hope my enthusiasm doesn't come off as obnoxious:
What you say about "hard mode" did make me think that player WG does make a good implicit difficulty feature. The game as it stands kind of has a snowball pattern, almost like a 4X strategy game, and I think that could be mitigated if the PC ambiently/unintentionally gains weights from all the different feedist dates they are going on.
This can at least help counter or make it so the late game stuff requires more thought, since the player who just wants to fatten all the girls up to enormous-sized can't just go on dates every day and only visit the gym or jog in the park for the new content when a new weight-stage comes around. Assuming that the player sizes would follow the same arc as the girls' sizes there'd be challenges from:
- Interest of the girls. Both in terms of their commentary, whether they'd give the PC time of the day, break-up, or even the mechanics of the sex scenes. One thing that might make it less punishing is if weight/size just impacts the rate at which affection is gained.
- Employment/Income - Again, the player may well just follow the same arc as that of the girls, and so they might lose progress on their income and eventually be set to a fixed income.
- Mobility/Independence - What if at a certain size the player may not have the energy to go out during the day? It might mean some repeat dates at their place, which has an impact on affection. If the player grows to enormous size, what if the only girls that visit them are the caregivers or (for example) the random apple-shaped beanpole they met and never interacted with since seeking to reconnect?
I just want to thank you again for your work on this game! It's been a real treat to play and the new update has been absolutely awesome!
