Thank you so much for the clarification. I have another question if you do not mind, since it's a metrodivania, does that mean it has to be a side scroller? planning to develop top down style metroidvania.

I want to know more about this part: Third party content (except fonts and samples used in music production) and the use of generative AI outside of built-in effects and filters in creative software is forbidden.
For the third party content, does that mean we're not allowed to use free assets for characters and backgrounds for example? Can you give more detail as to what the third party content means? thanks

What a cool and creative concept. Hoping to achieve this level soon. The gameplay is fun. Simple controls and nice mechanic. I love the idea of small moths capable of pushing a tv off the tv stand.

Yea, my thought process at the time was to make it easier for players to chase the cockroach since they also move fast. It's even more difficult that they technically do not collide with the furniture.

Noice, I didnt have the time to polish the hitbox mechanic. Making sure the hit does not overlap after being hit once.

Yea i kind of restricted the movement to 4 directionals instead of 8 to make sure that catching the bugs won't be too easy
