Thanks for your comment. It is a bug: when the battery runs out, the faintest light source is also removed, effectively keeping the player's eyes "closed." If you have already looted crates and picked up loot boxes, pressing G will restore 70% of the charge. Unfortunately, according to the jam rules, I cannot update the game during the voting period.
