Sorry for the "necro," I was lurking on Steam forums and came from the comments of a forum under the game "Exit 8." I wanted something of the same feel and there was a comment that led me here.
So, I ended up trying out the game. I usually like to play games at a normal pace and figure it out as I go instead of trying to look up the answer. After walking through a couple cycles of the doors and realizing that I wasn't doing the right thing, I decided to appreciate the room a bit more to figure out more about what was going on.
Honestly, excellent experience. Very eerie but bittersweet. I think that's the emotion that you were going for here anyways.
