I just finished reading the whole book last night and gods, that was intense. The two short stories perfectly set up the backstory and general vibe of the rest. Hunting Hound... it... did something to me. I've always been into petplay but following Leinth down the process really awakened something in me, the key to letting myself go - trust in my Handler.
And of course, Rescue Hound. Where to begin? Equal parts hot as fuck and should-crushingly horrifying. I knew exactly where the story was going and even so Chapter 10 hit me like a fucking truck. I'm not gonna forget this world in a hurry and I am drooling through my muzzle waiting patiently, obediently, for the next book!
Also, I hope you'll enjoy this little tidbit - I didn't come across this book through Tumblr, or AO3, or anything like that. I was in Bristol, first time meeting some people who'd only ever known me online. We all went to a pub, festooned with pride flags and queer symbols. I had to use the ladies, and while I was down, I appreciated the trans-positive and pro-sapphic graffiti on the stall door. And right on top of the door frame, the recommendation - "READ WARHOUND".
So yeah, now I get all my book recommendations from pub toilet graffiti. :D
