Thanks for playing! They should skip their first turn when they first catch sight of you ("The goblin shouts!") -- if they aren't then that's a bug.
You should also be able to use vi controls if you're used to those -- same as DCSS or the like.
Hi there! Sorry about that, there should've been a message to press "?" to see the help screen. This is also in the game description. Thanks for giving it a shot!
Edit: also arrow keys should've worked... I think I forgot to re-enable them before building. Oops, I think it's too late to patch. Also, quite majorly, the "Press ? for help" looks like a 7 aghhh
Hi there! There's a bug right now where, after unknown conditions occur, the loop detections stop working until you reset. We're still unsure what's going on with that.
Thanks for the feedback about the azerty keybindings! I didn't have an azerty keyboard to test on so that setting might've been messed up. Thanks for giving it a shot!
Known Bug:
There is a bug where sometimes you hit a point where drawing doesn't deal damage anymore.
We had trouble figuring out the cause and ran out of time before we could fix it, but we think it has to do with the DoodleSigil abilities.
If you do get the bug and you are far into a run, we apologize!
My usual gamedev partner has decided to bail on me for both our projects, so this looks like a nice jam to join to try and finish up what we had.
This one's a project we were working on very casually for about 3 months about being a barkeep serving monsters who'd eat you if your disguise fell off. Like Overcooked, but you have to be careful when you're exiting the kitchen to deliver food. The monsters were going to have different abilities and such, but given that I've got 60-hour-workweeks and am now doing gamedev solo I'd settle for anything that's halfway decent.
