i fed the dog :(

First!

Fun game! I really liked the music although I wish the art was a bit more cohesive but that's probably  just me. VERY GOOD JOB! short and sweet.

(1 edit)

Hey wonderful feedback Sasuchi!
Yeah the berry was bugging us too but it was like 1 hour before the submission date and my team freaked out . Yeah we got lots of comments both about the dialogue system and the berries lol. I also love your unique idea on the key binds for abilities definitely gonna implement that  once we  edit our game.

Yes the tile package was  from the unity asset store but everything else you see, character art, enemy art, music,  and of course the  infamous rat was made all by hand!

Thank you!

write that down Meme Generator
Thank you for your feedback! this is some really good notes! We'll be sure to include all of this when we  edit the game after the jam has concluded. :P THANKS FOR PLAYING!

Yeah we felt a lot of pressure but we're proud of what we made and we plan on continuing to work on this project and see it through until it's done! Thanks for your comment :P

I'd like to Start My post with two words.....

Dude you absolutely cooked with that, only thing I'd wish is if there was some way to see what each move did, Like I assume heal pulse healed the whole party, if I missed something that's my mistake but the whole thing felt like trial and error. But due to the simplicity of moves it was very easy to figure out later on. Plus you could get away with the whole "It's a feature" thing if the whole "trial and error" gimmick is what you're going with which ties in with the whole meta commentary (I think i used that word right, forgive me if I didn't).

Aside from that very minor thing  I think as of right now this is my favorite submission so far! It's got catchy music, fun characters, great sound, and terrific writing. My favorite part was definingly the sign at the end all the stuff it said really hit deep and it genuinely so freaking awesome that you were able to make something this cool in 10 days I love it!

Keep making games, keep being a creator and  keep creating inspiration. Perhaps someone who's never made a game before might play this and make that transition from consumer to creator

PS: (haha really sneaky there with the inbound shovel pun, I see what you did there bucko)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENT! I love comments that have constructive feedback with lots of positive key points like this one.

To answer your question, Yes! it is our first time into game jams. I was tempted to join some before but always felt intimidated by the time... 2 or 3 days is not enough and if it was too long I'd prolly feel pressured by the time and unsatisfied with what I made. I really like how inbound structured this jam for beginners such as my team and myself it took A LOT of the pressure off.

Gonna try our best to fix the Dialogue system as well as the camera! don't really know how I can spruce up combat for a game like this but thanks for your notes! because of comments like these our game will become 100x better

Noted! We'll fix that once we polish after the game jam is done. Thanks so much for your feedback! Truth be told we found it kind of annoying too but we also we're soooo stressed out for time,

Hehe yeah thought it would be fun, I checked out your game too! Amazing stuff. Yeah the tilemap we used was actually kinda awesome sauce ngl. Thank you for your comment and thanks for playing our game!

Yeah we got a lot of comments about the camera, dw we have plans to fix it up after the jam is done! Thanks so much for the feedback!!

Haha poor rat indeed!

Thanks! :P We tried our best

I liked the several minigames you had especially the duck hunt  one with the wings...  Great potential! Though I do find that the scene transitions were somewhat inconsistent in terms of time (some took wayyyy too long while others didn't seem to) I also loved the music

Got stuck on loading Screen

Can't see the game

Hehe We used the same assets, (i came here bc you commented on my submission) But really amazingly well done, like bro pat yourself on the back cause that game was trippy. At the beginning I was like woah a tutorial game! but then when I assumed it would just end when the tutorial was over. POOF! more story out of no where i think my jaw dropped when I saw the player going "wait I've done this before". Definitely a twist i wasn't expecting. GREAT JOB! :P

REALLY FUNN! I LOVE THE ANIMATIONS AND THE SOUNDS!!!

I KNOW THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS!! VERY SICK GAME GUYS!!!! HYTRDGHFTJY

Sorry man, I have no idea how godot works, it should be 100% off until 2030. Maybe try downloading from my Itch page. again it's a mock project so you're not really missing out on anything :P

AMAZING GAME!!!

AMAZING GAME, I LOVE THE STORY!!! keeep it up
