There is an auto feature on the setttings page but it's a slider rather than a button. If you lower the slider marked 'auto-forward time' it should reduce the pause after each line. We might rename this feature so it's easier to recognise!

Regarding the text overlay - we really did intend to avoid the dialogue box style of UI, and don't plan to change that, but it's good to know that not everyone prefers it. The text overlay can be hidden at any time with the H hotkey if you wish to examine Hom's art for longer 😔
