The game isn't configured for mobile platforms using Android or iOS, so it will not be playable.

You can check it out on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2423070/Speakeasy/

Yes, Last Call should be played second. It has side stories that mostly take place after the endings in Speakeasy.

There are a few instances with side characters, then also some adultery in bad endings.

It was! We tested out some fun features in the engine after deciding to move away from Unity, which it was the original Speakeasy game was made with.

Speakeasy isn't set up to automatically issue Steam keys with a purchase on itch, but send a message and one can be sent to you! https://openlategames.com/contact/

V2.0 does have text to speech! Press "v" on the keyboard to toggle this feature on and off.

Version 1.2 is now live on Steam! Releases for Steam generally run a few days behind itch for Open Late Games due to the extra processes involved with that platform.

Nope! The Steam and Itch versions are the same.

Yes, this is the full release!

December 10, 2024

A new version of SPEAKEASY: LAST CALL is available to download, featuring a bug fix and minor updates.

SPEAKEASY: LAST CALL VERSION 1.1 Release notes:

  • Fixed bug in "Painting Memories" story where one line used the default main character name in error instead of the custom character name
  • Added "Back" button to the "Stories" menu screen
  • Updated "Back" button in the "Credits" screen
  • Added version number information to the "Settings" screen

Open Late Games was extremely fortunate to have a successful Kickstarter that was able to fund the original Speakeasy game, which allowed us to offer features like CGs and some MC customization. With that funding, we were also able to release the game to players at a much lower price than would have been possible otherwise. Indies have a pretty special relationship with the players because often the more support that's received while crowdfunding, the more we can offer in turn.

Open Late Games hires artists and programmers who are not part of the studio. To provide fair wages for their work, it takes a lot of balancing to stay in budget and make sure the game can still be offered at a reasonable price to players. Speakeasy: Last Call was developed without any additional crowdfunding, only relying on the awesome support of Patreon members to help finance the creation of new sprite artwork and hiring skilled programmers. I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish and it was a fun journey writing the final stories for Silas, Will, Dahlia, Milo, Maxim, Nika, Vincent, and little Momo.

And thanks for the bug report! I'll look into it for the upcoming patch for any bugs that are found.

It just went live on Steam! And there's a 10% launch discount running on that platform as well, active until December 13th.

Here you go!

<3 Thank you!! Speakeasy: Last Call will be releasing soon for one last dance.

V2.0 will be coming to Steam, but it takes a little longer to go live on that platform and will be a few days behind the itch release.

For the artbook, sales come up on itch and on the Gumroad store periodically, but there aren't any plans to make it available on Steam at this time.

The game hasn't been configured or advertised for use on phones. The Linux download doesn't contain an APK file for Android, and is instead for playing the game on a computer with the Linux OS or the SteamDeck.

Copies of Speakeasy purchased through itch and JAST are DRM-free and don't come with keys for Steam.

Just entered into the beta test!!

The release date hasn't been set yet, but work is still progressing on the game! Stay tuned...

It's getting closseeerrrrr.....

This is a spot in the game where the program is switching between scripts and customizing based on player input. It takes a little longer on some machines than others, but it'll continue forward if you wait for it to complete.

Awesome , happy to hear it! Enjoy~

I've had this happen on a Mac and after some troubleshooting discovered it was because I didn't have enough space on the hard drive for the game. Double check this and let me know if you're still having issues.

Thank you for your support!!

Awesome!!! The gentleman and lady (and Momo) will be back for you soon. <3

ANNOUNCEMENT: SPEAKEASY V2.0 IN DEVELOPMENT

To remedy issues that some players are experiencing with the current game engine, Speakeasy is receiving a port to a new engine. To learn more about it, check out the devlog here: https://openlategames.itch.io/speakeasy/devlog/739788/speakeasy-v20-in-developme...

(1 edit)

Update! Open Late Games is currently working on a port of Speakeasy to correct this issue that some players are experiencing. To learn more about it, check out the post here: https://openlategames.itch.io/speakeasy/devlog/739788/speakeasy-v20-in-developme...

Heehee!! <3

Thanks for reaching out! A bug report was received earlier this week on this exact issue for the Mac version, so there's a fix currently in the works. Hoping to have that ready for release in the next couple days, so there will be a new file for you to download on itch soon. If you'd like an email reminder when the new file is available, you can send a support ticket here: https://openlategames.com/contact/

We are tooo!

The game wouldn't be complete without it.

Aaaahhh!! <3

That's so awesome to hear. <3

Thank you!!

Perfect timing!! <3

Just as a note in case anyone else runs into this issue, the NSFW-only version of the game has been added back to the downloadable files that come with purchase.

SPEAKEASY V1.2: Issue with SFW & NSFW Selection

A couple players have experienced an issue with Windows V1.2 where the game doesn't play the NSFW version when selected. To troubleshoot this, you can try to delete the game and .zip file, then download it again from your itch.io library to see if it runs normally.

If not, V1.1 has been added back to the downloadable files list included with your purchase. This is the launch version that only contains the NSFW content.

Nope! The Steam version should allow you to select between "NSFW Off" and "NSFW On" at the start of a new game.

Depending on the route, the NSFW content might happen later in the story than others, like Dahlia and Will. You'll know you're in NSFW mode once the 2nd CG pops up in every route after the first kiss. SFW mode will only have the kiss CGs.

Awesome :) Glad to help.
