Ah. Ok. That actually makes sense. Adding new variables into a game can cause absolute havoc so that is totally fair that you wouldn't want to do that. Also knowing it's meant more as a harem approach actually puts my mind more at ease. I wasn't exactly sure since there were exclusive scenes depending on your choices, but then the scene we've been talking about also occurring. The exclusive scenes made it feel like I was supposed to aim for one girl over another giving it a solo LI feeling to it, but then the unavoidable scene made it feel like solo LI was definitely not the route it was supposed to go. So, it left me somewhat confused as to what type of playstyle I should adapt to. If it is intended as a harem type route, it might be worth adding the harem tag to the game so that when someone goes looking, it will be easier to know.

That's not completely true. As I mentioned in my own comment above, there is at least one lewd scene that gave no such option to decline. I even tried completely avoiding the girls the entire night to avoid the event leading up to it, but there was never a choice to decline the lewd after the event. Merely the choice of which of the two girls will do it.
So just found this game and really enjoyed it. Definitely would love a walkthrough. I spent a couple of hours trying to avoid a certain lewd scene after a certain card game only to realize it was unavoidable which led me to the other thing I've been trying to work out. Is this a solo LI, harem, or polyamory type game? A mixture of all three? Though admittedly, with an unavoidable lewd scene I imagine solo LI is the least likely.
That...that actually does cheer me up. I've watched too many anime and played too many games/AVNs that have sidelined (if not outright killed) my favorite characters. So knowing the game won't end when we rescue her does make me considerably happier. Also glad to hear you have much bigger plans than such a simple story arc.
It's alright. Seems to be something that happens a lot across varying forms of media. Just sad that Nomine seems to be the destination instead of part of the journey. I was genuinely hoping we would rescue her at the halfway point of the game, and she would get to help us take on whatever we're supposed to face, but it looks like she's stuck with the possible big bad (and potentially even end up working with the big bad) which means we'll rescue her and reunite and then roll credits. I do enjoy some of the other characters but my favorite not being part of the game itself outside of a plot device has really curbed my enthusiasm for it.
I'm glad you recognized the whole issue with not being with the main girls. I only played the first couple of updates and quickly realized the format you were doing and haven't really touched it sense. Each update felt like I would meet one of the main girls, spend about five minutes with them catching up and then the rest of the update with whatever side chick you saddled us with, and it made the game overall incredibly dissatisfying. I bought Alliances because I assumed we would continue connecting and spending time with the main girls, and it felt like one heck of a bait and switch to not really do that. I also very firmly agree with the other criticism you brought up and am kind of annoyed about the whole Josie situation. You positioned her as a main villain and then sidestepped that and made her more or less the main secondary focus of the game and putting someone that is nearly wholly universally hated in that position I doubt will end particularly well, but if that is something you want to commit to, then so be it. I suppose I should count my blessings that I didn't spend more money that I did on this game.
Just found this game and really enjoyed it. I am a little worried that he's playing Mariam, given how devious he apparently is. I'm hoping not as I actually like her character quite a bit. I'd hate for the MC to break her heart just to climb the ranks, but given his internal monologue in regards to her, it doesn't quite seem that way. I dunno.
So typically, I don't pay money on itch.io for games. If I buy them, I usually only do so on Patreon and/or Steam (which I've admittedly bought quite a few). This game was good enough with what it has thus far that while I didn't throw a lot of money here (as I'm not particularly well off) this is the first game where I actually thought it was good enough to buy on Itch itself to have it in my owned library. So. Yeah. It's dang bloody good.
Finally got to play Chapter 2. Started over to refresh myself on the story and man was I reminded as to why I was so looking forward to the updates, and then Chapter 2 just hyped me up even more. I can't wait to see what the next update brings us. The story, the animations, the character models. Even the music. It's all really bloody good.
