There are actually a ton of modded versions of Progress Knight. If you join the progress knight discord, you can find them quite easily. The original creator either stopped working on it at some point, or was just too slow so people took it into their own hands. Progress Knight 2 is pretty good.

To be different from Progress Knight, I highly suggest doing what the title of the game is... and making it more about the magic. Completely remove the military stuff and combat skills and all the related items and just go heavier into the magic and mundane. Make the grind in common work longer, add in nobility ranks, and make it all feel pointless until you finally get magic through your first rebirth. Hell, instead of making it a rebirth, make it that you possess your own descendants. You've already done great in making houses one time buys per life, now make them hideously more expensive and make them permanent. There's so much you can do to still have the bones of Progress Knight/Groundhog Day, but make it entirely your own beast.
I enjoy this incremental a lot but that reset bug is so frustrating. I can't even get to halfway through foundation before suddenly I'm ultra weak again. Once that's fixed, I'll absolutely grind this out.
One suggestion I have though is to make the map interactables take 1 hour rather than 7 minutes to refresh. After a point, when you do them all, the first ones you've done have completely refreshed. I think it would add a bit more length to the game, but that's just from someone that hasn't even made it to golden core yet.
Please note firstly that I have not yet beaten Legion, so whatever I say can be taken with a grain of salt.
I would love if the forms could be upgraded: Like Wolf to Werewolf, Bat to Vampire, Goblin to Orc, and Ooze to Doppelganger. Basically an overall boost to abilities. I read in the comments that the content post Legion isn't done yet, so maybe its in the works? I also hope that the cutscene skipping buyable only skips previously seen scenes or is restricted to just the Legion chapter. I'd hate to buy the skill and then miss any new cutscenes... not that I plan to buy it at all, considering the artwork is too damn pretty to skip.
This is a great game that fills the moments between my other current idle obsessions. Do I recommend it? Absolutely. 5/5 stars.
