To be honest, Impossible Mission wasn't in my head when developing this game, but I understand the side point of view and the enemies movement patterns may remind you of those seen in Impossible Mission.
The most influential reference for me during the development of the game was Taito's Elevator Action. The door-opening mechanics and moving between floors are directly borrowed from it. But, of course, it's not the only reference, and as an old gamer like I am, I may have been influenced by other games without being totally conscious about it.
