people don't mind the character redesign or game theme change (look like inspired by "IN HEAT: Lustful Nights"). it's the face that give the whole overhaul a mix feeling. it just look odd when combine realistic human facial on an anime character (most notice is the nose). it's stick out like a sore thumb when you have a simplistic anime face but then add some high detail parts on the face.

The redesign character look okay so i'm not gonna compare which version is better but the nose look okay in the 2D dialogue portrait style but the full render pic look kinda odd.
