I had problems at first also.  Then i accidentally discovered that the mixers unloading auger needs to be set up by "moving" or pivoting it into the part of the barn that has the cows.  Then, the feed will unload for the cows. its also where you can put that small feed wagon if you want more realism in there.  Sorry, i cant remember how to pivot the unloading part of the mixer, but once i did it, I understood...
