Insane amount of work in such a short time! Always loved Zelda 2.  Also loved the variations on main theme, adapted into different areas.

My only complaint is, I got hardlocked and had to quit the game. Dashed through the mine to the south, didn't pick up anything, left mine via the exit in the south, then stuck in the little area, with the graveyard biome. Couldn't progress past the fence and the "lock" block, but the main problem is couldn't enter back into the mine from the door I just left. That's when I had to stop. Will definitely replay!

Great and unique gameplay! Definitely needs balancing though. Enemy attacks are too fast, blocking locking the player is making it even more difficult. Beat boss 1 without blocking, only with hit and runs, couldn't even hit boss 2 properly. Need to block for that apparently but cannot. Well done!

Amazing game, but not a NES game. Nevertheless, thanks for including mouse input.

I especially liked how the HP sinks were included, or HP being a safety net for 50/50 guesses. Very fair and addictive. Played for an hour or so, and could see this as a full fledged game in the future, well done!

great idea, great execution. the graphics are sweet, game balance is well thought

I don't like JRPGs and turn based combat. Never got into the genre. Played a bit, couldn't progress far. At one point, I forgot this was a jam game, tried to look up a guide.

Beautiful game. The characters and portrait animations tell a story in itself. Well done!

Thanks! I deeply regret not adding a few more zones and more content. I underestimated the duration people are willing to play

Solid game! Found 3 secret zones.

The only negative I can talk about is the camera movement and the room bounding boxes. Camera jumping alongside the player can be a bit eye-straining at times.

The movement is responsive, shooting and breaking stuff is fun, there's even items even though I only found the shield useful.

Good job!

3:53 / Cursed 4 times

Good game. Considering how annoying the enemies are, death being just a curse count is a well thought mechanic, forgiving. Bossfight is very well made. The ability to drop from the platform with down arrow would be perfect for the bossfight. I love the feeling of no saved progression, one wrong when fighting the boss, with some unlucky chain reaction with enemies below could send you all the way to beginning. For some reason A button wasn't jump for me, jumping with up arrow is a bit inconvenient

Well done!

I was thinking of making the nukes "the curse", but ran out of time. Couldn't even get proper levels and music done

Will update this after the jam though, thanks!
