Hey my fellow Unreal Dev!! Glad to see you here and thank you so much for trying out the game!! I appreciate the kind words and i'm super glad you were able to make it to the end, and that you didn't give a single mineral to the evil aliens!! Thank you for the feedback, I agree completely, some more audio cues and just better audio design in general would have helped the experience alot (another would have been directional audio to help guide attention to where the alien ships warp in, which i actually coded in but was cut off during the build). I played your game as well and loved it, and left a comment and rating as well!! Can't wait to see more from you in the future!! :)
The terrifying feeling of being pursued as a little elf is not something I expected from such a seemingly charming exterior but it surprised me in such a good way that I couldn't help myself but to keep trying and trying!! The gameplay felt amazing, I loved the charm of the characters, the sound and voice acting was super cool, the play on the jingle bells music, and the visuals and animations were amazing!! It was very difficult, but so hilarious and fun that it made me want to challenge the game again and again! I loved the mechanics as well and how complex the game became with such simple mechanics. What an awesome twist on a "auto-runner" type of game! Love it!
Thank you so much for trying the game and seeing it through! I'm super glad you appreciated parts of the game, and thank you so much for the great feedback, I agree with you, having the ship controls and the "mission" play a greater part in the gameplay loop is a great Idea that was definitely in the plans, though I had to cut back a lot (too much) on the vision to get to a state where it would be finished by the deadline, and the overall experience definitely suffers because of it in my opinion as well. I may have left multiple comments on your game page, not sure, It seemed like my browser was having trouble when I was trying to comment on your game! Either way, it deserves multiple comments! I loved it! XD
In terms of visuals and game feel, this one takes the top spot in this jam for me. The aesthetics are super pretty, the animation work and how the sword swings is so cool and hilarious, the physics, etc, it all just works to give it a super polished feel and a really satisfying experience of playing the game. Love it so much! Great job! I burst out laughing the first time i started mashing LMB and my little guy starting swinging his sword around like a maniac! XD
This was amazing. The game is so charming and has a really cool central mechanic. I can't state enough how much I loved the charm of the cutscenes and dialogues, it was so cool. One of my favorites this jam. Of course, the first thing I attempted was to get over the left side on the first screen. There was no hidden secrets, but it was fun none-the-less :). Great job, would play a full-game version for sure!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! I apologize for the final boss fight, I messed it up so bad and turned out to be way more infuriating of an experience than I wished it was. It sounds like you finally ended up getting through it after much suffering, so I appreciate that! XD You are completely correct with the anomalies, so we can consider that you have solved those puzzles. Unfortunately their movements are probably not clear enough, especially given that it is all displayed on a small screen with lackluster visuals. I apologize. I'm glad you enjoyed some parts of it and some of the puzzles, that makes me super happy! Congratulations on the tower one and I'm glad you enjoyed trying to figure it out, and congrats on finding the "secret tech" (XD) which I assume allowed you to get the floating mystery! I will give a try to your entry shortly, I'm excited to try Break the loop!!
Lovely little racer with an interesting twist turning it into sort of a roguelike!! The racing gameplay and mechanics are neat, the space-car looks awesome and feels great when it's zooming across the track, aesthetics are nice and the systems are well designed. The UI is super awesome in particular. Love it!
So awesome!! It's super fun, I love the aesthetics and interesting gameplay, and the level of polish is amazing! It's very satisfying to destroy the enemies and beat the system and acquire upgrades. It is a little bit overwhelming in the first few minutes, but then you quickly get a grasp on it and realize it is a nice little gem of a game with plenty of features! Very impressive!
omg thank you thank you thank you! I really appreciate your kind comments and i'm glad you had some enjoyment trying it out!! I'm also super glad some of the puzzles/narrative aspects gave you some rewarding experiences, that is all I could have hoped for!! I think you did amazing, your brain is very large it cannot fit in your skull! :) I apologize for some of the later room's difficulty, I wish I would have done a better job balancing them, but I'm really glad you got through them!! Thank you so much once again, your comments make me so happy!! :)
Thank you so much for trying the game and for your kind words!! Congratulations on getting 9 disks and i'm glad to know you had some fun using the Worms Armageddon style attack XD! I apologize for the annoyance with some of the boss rooms, I agree, they could have used alot more polish and balancing. I will try your submission shortly! Again thank you for your comment and your time :)
Thank you so so much for the kind words!! I'm super glad you had some fun trying out the game and enjoyed some of the metroidbrainia puzzle aspects!! I apologize deeply for the annoyance at dealing with some segments like the final room in particular but i'm glad that you managed to get around it! I apologize for the tower puzzle as well, as it is definitely lacking in polish and clarity. It seems like you ended up solving it though, which is great! I'm very excited to try Softlock, I will do so when I get back home :)
Thank you so so much for the kind words! I apologize for the difficulty and annoyance of dealing with the final levels and the last boss. I quickly implemented those aspects and did not test them much so it ended up being alot too much. I'm super glad you enjoyed some of the puzzle aspects, that makes me super happy!! :) And particularly that you were taking notes hehe!! As for the tower eyes, I'm guessing that if example the first tower had 4 marked on it, you placed the first tower's symbol in the 4th place. The "correct" solution is to place the 4th tower's symbol in the first place. I apologize for that as it was not as intuitive as I thought it was!
Thank you so much for playing and for your comment!! :)
