Seems like an interesting concept! I think having some visual and audio feedback would make the gameplay feel more satisfying. I also think having a progress bar would help visually communicate how close you are to reaching the goal. 

Pretty cool game so far! I find the mechanic of enemies only appearing when you're near them to be very interesting. My only gripes are a lack of a way to pause the game (unless I missed it), and that the enemies can push you out of bounds.
