It's okay, we do that too, all the time xP We're so glad it worked so well! We're looking forward to creating more stories in this style, and in general

We love the art so much!!
We're glad this could resonated for y'all! This was also somewhat a bit of a vent piece about some of the bull my system has gone through trying to get (and still having not gotten) bottom surgery. There were some changes made (my therapist refused to write a recommendation letter because we have DID), but we tried to keep to the spirit of how much despair that brought us at the time, and it honestly still affects us to this day.
I'm glad the text colors helped so much with clarity! We had an idea of what we were gonna do with the colors, but our partner system and queer-platonic partner system helped us settle on how we were doing text colors. The text effects were super fun to mess with. It was super hot to write for our system lol
I think I agree, definitely not as actually toxic as it could have been the way we ended up writing it. We appreciate the feedback and the art! We'll definitely be making more toxic and wholesome games, hopefully both twisted into a sickening mix of extreme emotions.
This one kinda hit home for my system. The futility, the taste of hope rejected; for you believe, you know nothing good will come from resisting. The desperation that can lead you to be in truly fucked up situations.
I loved the capitalization of the first letter of Her pronouns, the colors for pronouns and dialogue, it really let us get into and enjoy the story. Also excellent use of silence, music, and sound effects.
I agree with the comment below, this game is suffocating, in so many ways. So many ways.
There are so many things we loved but we don't want to spoil it for anyone else!
We have a really hard time replaying games, or anything really, but this one we're definitely replaying.
Thank you! We had a lot of fun with this one.
I'm so glad the writing style came through well! We were worried how our brain likes to sort words wouldn't be very readable, so I'm so glad it came through so well. The font we used was Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono if you were curious.
We had so much fun with the colors and text effects. When you say auto-progress, do you mean when it clears text off the screen without waiting for a click (such as with the Need. scene), when it auto-progresses past commas and colons and such, or both? Or something else? Regardless, we may add a toggle in this one for anyone who needs or wants it in a future version, and keep that in mind for future VNs.
I'm delighted it conveyed feeling so well, and that it could be so visceral! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We were worried a bit at the pacing, and we're so happy it ended up working so well! We loved writing and organizing the letter, though we ended up rushing in the ripple transitions a bit when we submitted it, especially with the letter, and didn't touch up on that. We might actually mess around some before putting it down. We did mean to end it abruptly, to try to be kind of narratively jarring, but it seems that didn't land as well as we'd hoped. We appreciate you letting us know.
I think I know what you're talking about with the jolting. It might be some of the text effects, we'll look into it, thank you for mentioning it!
We think we really do plan to make another, and that can take a lot for our system. Thank you for all the feedback, we got a lot from your comment! We feel very motivated to work on our next project!!
