Same for me :(

Thank you for the nice feedback! I've never beaten the final build either :( but I've gotten pretty damn close to it :) 58 doesn't happen often. Hope you had a nice boost on that round....

Thank you for your message. I feel you, it wasn't supposed to be this random, but I'm glad that you liked the creative aspects of the game. I've encountered this bug during earlier builds, though I was quite sure that I had fixed it by now. I might look into it after the jam.

Very iconic entry. Not much to criticise, except that I had a few minor hangups, such as when one of the mailmen was hidden behind the mailbox and I didn't see him. Also, the music is super chill.

Wow! I am speechless.... This is perfect.

Good point. I've just come up with the idea of adding a game speed multiplier in the settings – that could also fix the game being a bit long. Also, thank you. You're the second person who said it reminds them of old flash games art-wise, though I'd lie if I said it was intentional :)

Very interesting idea for the game mechanics! I could definitely see the puzzles becoming quite challenging if there were, say, ten different levers that each influence the flow in a different way.

Very cool sokoban with a nice twist! Could use some music to complement the sound effects. Brilliant idea for the ending. I see a lot of potential for expanding the game.

Lol thanks :D

Awesome, thanks! I actually meant "The Verdant Knight" in case you're wondering. Keep it up!

oh yeah, been there ^^

<3

Thanks! I'm glad you liked my game :D Yeah, had the same happen to me. The best feeling is when you activate the buff and hit a critical right after! *chef's kiss*

It took me a minute to figure out that you only deal damage during the ticks, but after that the game was pretty fun. I got it to a point where I could exit the map and still level up, effectively turning it in to a full idle game. Great job!

P.S. The score on the victory screen is off – I had about 2 million at this point....

I'm serious, the battle music is freaking phenomenal! Do you have a Youtube channel or sth?

Thank you very much for these kind words. You've characterised the game very well – it's a game of powerlessness and hope. I did intend to add QTEs so that there was a skill component in the game. But you know how it is... the grass animations were obviously more important :D

Thank you! Yes, that's more or less what you need to do. I'm glad you figured it out.

Wow! That might be one of the best games I've ever played on itch. You should add more levels for sure

You nailed the theme with this one! The chain explosions are super satisfying and the artwork is very cool, too.

Thanks for being honest. It is pretty random. The knights fight autonomously and the attack chains thus have a random length that you can't influence. You basically bet on how long the current attack chain is going to be. The longer you wait before activating your buff, the higher the buff is going to be. On the other hand the earlier you activate it, the longer it will be active until it is reset at the end of the turn. It's basically gambling, but it has a strategic component because you can react to the enemy's buff activation decisions.

How do you even come up with something as trippy as this?!

Incredible feat to make a game this polished in such a short time. Amazing work!

Super atmospheric game! Brightness adjustment would be helpful.

Very polished entry! I really enjoyed playing it.

Why do the straight ones only conduct in one way?

I always tried to click on the labels, so it took me a minute to figure out that you have to click the buttons. Apart from that the art style is amazing!

Very cool game! Not sure if I did it right, but I just jump-crouched through the circular holes  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I concur with the other comments: the game is very polished but I think it would benefit if the difficulty was lower in the beginning and increased gradually

Amazing game! The art is awesome, the music slaps, gameplay is satisfying and addictive. Outstanding entry!

Can you pls explain? I'm also stuck. But the game idea is amazing, and I can imagine that it was quite a hassle to implement!

Did you make the music yourself? The battle theme is an absolute banger!

Thanks :)

I don't think I've ever seen a game concept quite like this one.

This game is charming!

This game has a lot of potential. Personally, I would've found it more intuitive if the entire tile was clickable and maybe it would be funnier if the red and green "apples" were clickable and the black bomb was the obstacle.

P.S. I noticed the multiclick cheat too, and was tempted to rack up a ridiculous highscore, but I didn't. :)

Cute art! I think a greater shot strength might make the reaction chains longer and even more satisfying. Overall good job!

I don't really get what the green gas is supposed to be, but the game idea has a lot of potential.

Brilliant idea and very likeable art style!

Dang, thanks for the in-depth review! I'm glad that you liked the game and that you were able to beat it, too. I always get super close to winning, and then Gerard lands a critical and I'm down. :)

Lol, thanks for playing our game all the way to the end :)
