Yes it's supposed to restart because it needs to clear the cache. Don't worry the whole game isn't long so if you restart just go through the whole game in one shot without saving or exiting. There should be a disclaimer at the start of every fresh run stating that players should finish the game in one shot. Hope that helps! Once you start the game fresh, just finish a walkthrough and when you're directed back to the main menu just click start again. Don't worry you'll find new stuff along the way. Rinse and repeat until the game tells you to stop.
Unless you are referring to something else; I'm not sure what you mean by the "wall" but if I am guessing it correctly may I suggest resetting the cache/persistent values. I believe there should be an option to reset it in game if you encounter a message, but I didn't stress test it so there are definitely going to be some problems.
No problem! That is my fault for not making it more direct, but what you do is that you need to replay the game (ie click the start button again) after finishing a walkthrough. You will know when something is different. Thank you for asking!
