Found this game from your stream!

First off, incredibly creative idea. The presentation of it was unbelievable. It’s actually crazy to think this is from a game jam. I don’t think I’ve ever heard good voice acting like this in a game jam which already blows my mind, but the aesthetic is GREAT and the controls are super cool. There’s something really simple but great about seeing the spotlights against the little cardboard cutouts on the stage that is so simple, so quick to understand, but just looks great.

10/10 on polish alone, great work!

Thank you! I’m really glad you were able to play it. It’s broken on some people’s PC’s, and it’s version dependent :(

Thank you! It’ll be uploaded at 1:01 PM today after the jam ends (with lots of other improvements like a tutorial)

Thank you! I would have LOVED to make it multiplayer (and might still do it after the jam’s over) but there wasn’t enough time :(

Thank you!

The first time the cough variant got me made me jump. Don’t think I’ve ever been scared like that by a game before. I was totally locked in after that. Really well done!

Really cool concept and controls! Piloting a giant thing like the Tardigrade and being able to walk around it just feels super cool for some reason. The music choice is also insane and 10/10 and I have no idea why it works so well but it just does.

Love the artstyle of the character! At first I thought I was supposed to find the guys who looked like me to defuse, until I realized I was supposed to blow people up. Then the game got a lot more fun lol

And always happy to see another game about blowing people up :)

Thank you! I was surprised myself how well the AI worked out… because they follow SUPER simple rules:

  • If Baseball Diamond is on the field, go for it
  • If someone else has it, chase them
  • If you are within range to throw a bomb, throw one
  • If you are outside that range, do a homing bomb instead
  • If someone gets too close to you, hit them with a bat or slide
  • If you have the diamond, compute the point on the map that is farthest from any player, and run to it

And then each AI gets a differently tweak set of configs related to how fast they turn, aim, react to bombs, etc.

This was a really fun time. Simple mini games that scale in difficulty + the time constraints made this a really good management game. If only real game jams were this easy

This works SO WELL for me.

First off, the presentation is super slick, and I could see a full game of this art style. And the concept alone is really fun, especially how weaker/more common attacks are on number ranges are rarer ones are on single numbers or cooldowns.

But that’s not what impressed me most.

When the boss ATE A NUMBER. That’s when I realized how cool this idea was and how much you could do with it.

Great job coming up with something so unique that feels so natural and can go so many ways. Would love to see you expand this, and I hope you do after the jam ends! I would play more of it!

Super rewarding to FINALLY beat a level (which sounds like was the goal).

I understand why you didn’t include music to not overshadow the steady beat of the metronome, but having something to ground me on each run as like “the start of a bar”, to think of each level as a musical phrase somewhat, and being able to accurately count the offbeat (which I found myself doing anyways since solutions rarely worked for me by only inputting on beat) would be really helpful for being more consistent. But maybe I’m thinking too much like a musician. Overall really cool concept!

Really hard (at first) but eventually got used to the controls. Love the pixel art and the walking on walls mechanic is really unique!

Fun little concept and you kept it fresh with the different twists every round! Too bad the NPC’s kicked my ass.

REALLY good Sokoban levels! And I was surprised by (but really enjoyed) when radiation damage became a thing on some levels. Really made me plan ahead before spamming ideas. You did great work as a puzzle designer!

Fun and simple puzzle, almost like a Sokoban. The challenge made sense right away and every level offered something new to think about without being too hard. And the art is nice too! Really enjoyed it.

Thanks! That’s the kind of party game-vibe I was going for.

Got 10/10 :)

I love to sketch so this was right up my alley. Super fun concept! For a future version I would love a different modes with more time, or different phases of easy/medium/hard.

SUPER creative use of Tetrominoes, and once it clicked for me, I loved it. This is the kind infinitely replayable puzzle mechanic that seems so simple you wonder why nobody thought of it before. My only wish is that the music itself was more reactive to my actions (since it’s a DJ-ing inspired game).

Thanks for letting me know, that’s a real bummer. I’ll keep doing what I can to find fixes for WIndows folks. Wish I could just upload the fixed version.

Thank you!

Thank you! I was in the middle of making the tutorial when time ran out :(

However, I've recorded a video of the tutorial so people can watch before they play to learn the basic moveset.

Thanks for letting me know, it ended up being a very small bug only on Windows...

You can fix it by changing your settings under chrome://flags/#use-angle to anything other than DirectX (like Vulkan or OpenGL) but modern versions of Chrome have made it harder to access Vulkan.

Thank you! The whole terrain is actually voxel based, but smoothed out with surface nets, and to prevent physics from being blocky-feeling you pretty much just linearly interoplate and position the player on the fake terrain height.

Thank you! Unfortunately the web build had more problems than I expected... that's what I get for submitting 2 minutes before deadline.
