Cool game and fun to play. :)

It feels laggy though as the client seems to wait for the server's response instead of using client side prediction. Would be nice if you'd fix that.

Also, there seems to be some aggressive anti-spam going on. I like to smile at strangers by just sending ":)" and often have to re-write it as something else as it doesn't get through. Take a look at starblast.io, they don't use a chat at all but hotkeys that show signs with icons above your ship. You can have very simple conversations like that but not insult or anything. I find that a very good system for games like this.


Other than that a suggestion would be to get rid of the 2 special ships and instead turn their functionalities (auto shoot and hyperdrive) into modules. Turrets with auto-shoot integrated. And hyperdrive modules that give any ship hyperdrive and if you place more than one module you could make it have more than one charge, so people with 2 modules could jump twice. Or only 1 jump module but modules that give faster re-charging, ...

It's a good base for a game :) Hope you're still developing it. Rotating turret graphics would be nice too.

This tileset is a derivate of the one i originally made in 2016. It's cool that you apparently re-made it and added the flowers and the leaf and rock variations but that doesn't allow you to strip the license - even the hex colors are identical - and not mentioning me as the original author goes against the CC-BY-SA license. Also, please license this under the CC-BY-SA license to this as that is also a requirement when you release derivates of it.
