Two kings has some use because you would avoid paying the penalty to respawn your king, since you dont need to respawn. I think the card should clarify that kings dont count

I think its a good start, but needs more enemy variety and weapon variety. As it is the game gets stale once you get used to headshotting enemies, you can easily survive infinitely. I lasted 10 minutes until quitting.

Super fun variant! I think doubling the rooks and never placing knights is the optimal strategy. Maybe knights should be cheaper. Also interesting being able to guard the king with pawns on rank 1. Bot isn't very challenging once you figure out the mechanics, I'll have to give multiplayer a try. It would be great to have online multiplayer, since I doubt local bullet works very well.

The most unbalanced card seems to be the one that gives you the strongest piece in possession for free. Very broken if queens are still on the board. I used this card to get an extra king, but it selected the pawn instead (I guess king isnt a "piece"?)

Promotion screen looks weird, but it works  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good twist on the genre, requires a lot more thinking than normal tower defense games. I'm not usually interested in tower defense but enjoyed this since its more like a puzzle. The UI was a little confusing, since it allows both tile select -> menu select and menu select -> tile select, but including an undo helps avoid UI quirks actually affecting the gameplay. I'd like an enemy countdown (on theme!) to help plan my remaining actions.

Doors kept glitching and teleporting me into the hallway. I couldn't figure out where to go or what to do. Player movement could be faster I think.

The art style was good

Great game, multitasking with the countdown is very challenging! I made it to the Alex round.

I think the gameplay is very well balanced, I'd just like to see more minigame variety and replacing the "hold to win" minigame

Fun! Could add variety with more attacks and more enemies. Its easy to get in the zone playing this, but I think it would get stale eventually.

A nice feature would be a brief input pause if an enemy starts targeting near you, so that you don't press keys quickly and accidentally make a stupid mistake

Very interesting, has  the most promise I've seen so far if fully completed. In its current state its kinda confusing. I only figured out how to cast 3 spells, and I think theres a timer but I just ignored that and spammed ice spear as fast as possible. I couldn't figure out how to use items either. Got a little past floor 20 and died with a health potion in my inventory, which is frustrating because I didnt know how to use it.

Would like to see combat slowed down so theres more strategy and less carpal tunnel. Also would be cool if the positioning of orbs mattered in some way

simple but fun. Great assets, reminds me of Bikini Bottom. Some additions I would like are a timer for score and a tutorial on how to defeat each fish (are jellyfish beatable?)

Great platforming mechanics! The character and platforms feel good to control (except when clipping through a green platform). The worst part was the section with no controllable platforms. Also, I don't think the life system is necessary. The audio was way too quiet I couldn't hear it, options menu would be nice. Very fun and serious.

Nailed the feel for a survivors game very well. I like the art style and it fits the cheesy characters. Music is great for its purpose and sounds like authentic chiptune (is it actually authentic? idk, and idc). The QTE didn't really add anything and was frustrating when it didn't read my mouse properly.
