Oh, sorry for not replying for that long. I don't get notifications for just answers to random threads. No you don't need to keep past versions. On PC you can just replace them. On Android you just start the new .apk file and it should update things. And if you have the itch.io client then it auto updates through there, like it would on steam for example.

It's a bit of both. We have a general plan with an ending in mind, but of course there are always situations in the moment where you think of something interesting to add or something that's been written throws up an opportunity for another scene. But yeah, we're roughly at the halfway point currently.
Hey and thank you very much. Glad you're enjoying it. Yeah currently we're picking our musical moments to be few and far between. Might change a bit in the future, but if we do it, it's probably thing that we do more to when we reach the actual full release.
Ideally we'd get custom made stuff, but doing that during our regular development cycles is near impossible, given how shortly before release the scenes come together.
Yeah, would be pretty nice. At least some basics, y'know. Blocking certain phrases, blocking links or completely new accounts, as you said. Had the same spam come in 6 times in the last 24 hours. Exactly same phrasing, exactly same link. Could have been solved easily in this instance, but instead I'm having to play whack-a-mole...
Not back to normal, no. Payment processors are still being little bitches, and so for example, Conway and other NSFW games currently can't accept donations if we want to be visible on the site.
Which in turns also means less income for itch itself, which is not great as they are the ones paying for the hosting of our files. So I do want them to have their share of the donations that came in.
They'll all get their time if Conway survives through this, don't worry. :)
And i don't know if it's the background really. Problem is that itch has provided absolutely zero communication at this point. So it's just impossible for us to tell just what the criteria are. And the list they added to their FAQ is about as vague as it can get.
Yes, it's absolutely crucial.
Do I know if it'll work? No.
But do I know that losing itch as a place for adult visual novels to call their home would be devestating for many of them? Absolutely.
A ton of people find games via itch's discovery. So even if things stay with games being shadowbanned as they are now it could absolutely wreck what little finance sustains many of these projects. WIth fewer people finding them, and thus of course fewer people who might decide to support them.
Hey,
only place that involves randomness is the dice game outcome. So it should always be the same as it just checks for certain values and we've not heard of similar issues before.
So perhaps some choice was picked different and that big was enough to shift it to a different outcome.
No guide though, no. The Discord's got a spoiler chat where occasionally you have people asking for some scenes and getting answers for that, but we don't plan on making a guide anytime soon (if ever).
