Thank you! It was really enjoyable creating an ambience, setting a scene, and incorporating music within it. Glad that it gave you some production ideas to explore, and thanks for hosting the jam, the theme got some great results!

My partner immediately said it sounds like animal crossing, and I agree! The simplicity of the track really lends itself to your picture and the lighthearted vibe. For me it gives a sense of nostalgia back to playing games when I was young, good stuff!

This is some really encouraging feedback as you’ve experienced it exactly as I intended, thank you! I don’t have a background in either field but I would love to get involved in them, or for games! Seems like these jams are a good way to get started

hey mate, do you have a YouTube/soundcloud upload for this?

when I go download it says

Great track! Loved the section at 38 seconds. Did you have a game in mind when you made this?

Thanks! I definitely lean towards that genre as well, most of my tracks end up sounding like those parts but this time the rave snuck in ;)

This is excellent feedback thank you! I was definitely treading a line between soundscape and soundtrack! I do agree it is a bit lengthy but wanted to emphasise the feeling of travelling through a scene and felt it needed that slow transition, I wanted to keep the rave part simple and decided to keep it short so it didn’t become too repetitive, if it was in game I would have it linked to gameplay and character position rather than a set length

Thank you 🙏

Very well produced! Haunting and atmospheric. The fact it’s giving me gameplay ideas emphasises how well it would work during a gameplay segment

Really loved some of the chord changes in this, reminded me at parts of Thomas Newman’s work like for example Road to Perdition which I adore. I felt the weaving a thread but for didn’t really feel very ‘spacey’ like in the picture, although my partner said it gave her Doctor Who vibes so that works!

I like how it builds up, definitely fits the mood! How did you record the guitar? I think it would be improved by making it sound more natural or ‘humanised’, it sounds to me like all the notes are 100% velocity, especially at the start. Another option could be eq-ing the highs out to create a softer more mellow sound

I like that you chose to interpret the essence of a living thing rather than a scene or situation, and I think you captured it!

never omit the jazz!

Love that you recorded most of this live, very authentic and creative! Personally I feel myself drawn to the street below rather than the building itself, but it definitely fits

Great sound selection and very atmospheric, one of my favs of the jam, well done! 👍

Very creative, this is what the numbers mean mason

👌👌 good stuff! Now I need to play some wipeout

Did you forget to upload it?

Loved the music and gameplay was fun! The enemies only came from one direction for me, is that by design?
Suggestions:

- Make the build icons greyed out when you can't afford them so you can tell at a glance

- Make it so you can hold left click fire instead of having to click constantly

Loved the music! The zooming in and out made me feel sick

I really liked the idea of adding parts to your ship to make it function better, but found that it didn't really make much difference in how you build your ship as long as the pink bits are at the front. The music made we want to quit straight away but then kind of grew on me!
