Interesting game with potential.
Couple of suggestions, not demands, just things to consider, maybe add your own spin to them.

  • It would be nice to add feedback to status showing the result of the last action.  So for example if Productivity went down due to my last action, it should have a down arrow, preferably with the % drop, if it went up, then an up arrow with % gain. Perhaps this status doesn't need to stay forever, just a few seconds before fading out, but I feel its important as i'm not always able to catch which status changed due to an action.
  • Taking this further it might be nice to present a history of last events that affected a status upon rolling over the status box? Additionally maybe include recap of what raises/lowers each status so a new player doesn't have to remember from the tutorial.
  • Needs more frequent variations. Fixing too many tickets in a row is a bit bland. The mini-games are good (though all should be able to use WASD - maybe they do and help is wrong?), but it feels like there needs to be more things to do. Think of Papers Pleasse, where as the game progresses you get more and more tasks/instructions/actions to do, forcing you to concentrate more.

Regardless it will be interesting to see how you develop this.

BTW for reference found via your reddit post.

This is interesting, I enjoyed the trading aspect and that it wasn't always for material goods. I could easily see it being developed further. More complex trades, having multiple trades at once, having the characters animated and a little more dynamic to play up to their type/needs etc.

Could be a nice chill game.

Tried making a friend with a zombie but they ignored me 0/10 game!

Just kidding.

I think this has the germ of a great idea. Kind of like 'hide and seek', which if randomised could provide additional replayability. You could easily add a over-arching game story and then individual narratives to each person you find. Add in some quests, maybe have zombies chase you or not if you want a chill game - Yeah lots of potential here.

Loved it, shows great potential, with plenty of opportunity to add content, challenges and story.

Very nice chill game.

Very nice chill game.

Nice. Good atmosphere.

I did sequence break the game though the first time I played, as I grabbed the suitcase before it had closed and was able to just push it and myself through the locked door ;)

Fun, and loved the voice acting, made me smile the moment it started.

Obviously lots that can be improved here, but as a starting point it has potential. The biggest issue at the moment ( and not just this game) is i've had to reduce my mouse speed to its lowest setting otherwise the camera just wildly spins around too fast. So some option to control the speed of mouse turn int he game would be great.

Thanks.

The key is indeed a trap, more so that I ran out of time to implement the feature - of it unlocking the secret door in the library.

But  yeah in general the idea is that you have to think ahead as you can't get the key if you have a long conga line as you'll get trapped in in the room. Hoping to find time in the future to keep working on the game.

Thanks for the comment and for recognizing the inspiration of snake.

Sadly the browser version was a last minute idea that I didn't have time to test properly so it suffers compared to the downloadable version in a few ways such as 'escape' key not always working and mouse capture being a bit flaky.  Hopefully these can be fixed when the page unlocks after the jam is finished.

This was fun and a little creepy. Could see this working really well is fleshed out more, part escape room, part supernatural.

Hey, this was really fun. Its a little rough, with quite a few lag spikes, but shows great promise in the gameplay and the overall premise. Nice one.

Fun little game. Would be nice if you could reduce the time to restart each run, its quite fast, but I feel for these sort of games you want it to be as short as possible. For example when it restarts could you place the player just under the castle gates at the point where they start running? It would only cut a second or two, but even that would make quite a difference, getting the player back into another run.
