Really cool idea and fun game! The graphics are very neat and easy to read while playing. The music and SFXs are on point. The game mechanics are really fun but I gotta say they are quite hard to manage. I would suggest perhaps have levels increase in difficulty by smaller increments to "train" players into the controllers and reduce the stress that may come with the amount of controls to manage (I wouldn't take any away). I was thinking I would love to try this again with an actual controller instead of a keyboard (perhaps I could perform better that way lol).
Great game overall!
I may be biased because I love playing actual disc golf, but I think this game is really fun and well done! I really appreciated being able to control the disc throughout the flight. As feedback I would say the controls for power and angle can get tricky to not mess up with, and that I would love to see this game with graphics that resemble disc golf courses, even if not at a high resolution.
Great job!
Gameplay: Amazing! Music: Crisp! Overall experience: So much fun!
This is one of the games I've enjoyed the most in this jam. Such a simple yet fun game mechanic.
The only two pieces of feedback I would say are that the losing/winning rules are a bit hard to understand and the the transition from level 1 to 2 has a considerable increase in difficulty (at least for me).
Overall, an amazing jam entry!
Such a fun entry! It was very satifying to get the grass cut with the boosting motion. Took me a bit to get the hang of moving while spinning and reboosting the spin (could've been a skill issue). I would've liked to get a bit more of a structured guidance on getting through the game. The music is very enjoyable.
I love word games and this one has a very creative idea behind it. I really appreciated your interpretation of the prompt.
Graphics: Great detailed animations. One could see the work put in every scene of the game.
Game mechanics: Kudos to the team for pursuing the endeavor of coding a grammar and semantics analyzer. The game loop was very straight forward and controls were intuitive with very few instructions.
I would've appreciated more feedback on how my score was being calculated and maybe a way of getting tips in exchange of a decrease of point from the final score.
Overall, a very creative and fun game! I would love to play the next version. :)
I loved how you came up with your own interpretation of the prompt!
Graphics: I really liked the simplistic art style of the game and the text animations were really fun to see. It was very clean overall. The corner of the tree images could be transparent to prevent the overlapping of the green or purple on top of other trees.
Game mechanics: Having the character at the center of the screen at all times could improve the flow of the game. I would've liked to be able to perform more actions to interact with the environment.
Story: I liked how silly the story and characters were. Great job developing all the dialogs and story behind the game.
I love the originality of the game's theme and mechanics. The slow down feature makes you feel like in an action movie.
I don't quite get what the enemies are, and the graphics and sounds have room for improvement in my opinion. I also think the game becomes a bit repetitive after a while, so maybe adding a bit of an increasing curve of difficulty would improve the experience.
Interesting feature/bug is that the one time I didn't (or barely) touch the controls, I made my best score (41) getting plenty of health packs and killing many enemies without me doing much.
I think this game idea has potential.
