I wasn't able to complete this one ngl. I like that it was super difficult, but I found all the things I didn't know to be extremely demotivating. I think I would've loved this game a lot if there were just one or two UI elements. Particularly a health bar, and maybe a timer or some other indicator that showed when and how night would fall. All the enemies and player movements seem like fun challenges, but with the sheer number of things I didn't know + how quickly I kept dying, I didn't really feel like continuing to try. With how small a change that is though, I want to re-emphasize that I think y'all did an excellent job overall. The enemies are difficult in a way that seems feasible, and I think the spawn loop would be extremely fun, were I a little better at the game xD The story was intriguing as well, especially as a Hollow Knight (and yuri lol) lover

I found the gameplay to be a little confusing, and really overwhelming when I first opened the game. Things seemed pretty self-explanatory once I started messing around though, and it's pretty fun! I don't play tower defense games, but, from what I've heard about them, this is a really unique approach, and I respect that a lot! The art is really good too, though I feel like the complexity of pixels added to the initial overwhelmingness, and made it a bit difficult to figure out what each thing was supposed to be. All in all though, great work y'all!
This was a 10/10 for me, holy. What a delight!!! I had so much fun with the jank of the physics and movement, it didn't feel overly frustrating or difficult to "master" (so mcuh as you could with controls like that, anyway xD). The day/night loop added to it even more; having a break in the night gameplay to dodge flying potions (that I made, too!) made me extremely excited to go back to the night and try again every time I lost. And that "shit" was absolutely hilarious. The sound design as a whole, actually--it really elevated the experience for me. 10/10 in every aspect, truly. I had a hell of a time, the theme was used masterfully, the gameplay was fun and engaging, the creativity was through the roof, the visuals were extremely on point, and the audio was peak. Hell of a job, great work!
The graphics are extremely cool and unique, and the gameplay has a lot of potential. I think there are currently too many prisoners (and there were a few times where I wasn't able to move my guards to squares, even though they were highlighted), but after some balancing and bug-fixing, this will be an extremely fun game! This was a super unique approach to the theme as well, kudos to y'all!
Thanks, glad to hear it! :D Yeah, we definitely struggled with the wall jump mechanic. Our only idea was to limit the number of wall jumps, similar to a double jump. But that caused the ability to be effectively useless, since double jump would get you anywhere that the wall jump could lol. I'll keep thinking on it, maybe limit it to three or four jumps? Hmm. Again, thanks for the feedback! :D
I wasn't sure how y'all were gonna portray the fact that this is a movie (and thus contains *fake* blood), but y'all blew my expectations outta the water! (Pun not intended, but embraced nonetheless.) I absolutely love the actor in the losing screen lol. I wasn't the biggest fan of the movement, but I think it added to challenge. Speaking of, I tried for like 20 minutes and wasn't able to win. I found the boats to be very OP -- I just couldn't get away from them without running into one of the death bombs. I really tried too -- I read another review that mentioned the ending and I was SO curious. Great game guys!!
I found controlling my character to be difficult, but it seemed reasonable enough that it could very well be a skill issue. The fast pace of the game is part of what makes it so fun, so I don't actually know if I think that sensitivity should be tweaked at all. xD Very unique and clever concept! I kind of miss the voice acting concept, but, with how many people I killed it probably was smart to leave it out lol.
