Hi!
In march of this year I commented to say how much I loved the nuance and layers of this game and that I was starting a creative writing course and really hoped to write something that captured me like this does.
I'm still working on the second part of that, but I have written a review for how deeply touched I was by this game to go in my school's magazine.
If you're interested in seeing it, let me know!
(i saw on blue sky that you're struggling w social media and mental health, immensely relatable, as someone who is entirely off social media for that reason. hope you're well or getting there all the same)

dude ever since I've seen markiplier play this man i have been desperate to play it myself the end is SO COOL it's just such a sick concept

intended to be a cute game and was a cute game! can't fault it

am i bad at this game or does everyone else die fairly quickly but this was really cool! incredible concept, very easy to get into and even easier to hear yourself saying "god i can't believe he used report card" like that's a normal thing to say

Incredible how fast I finished playing this and immediately passed it my partner like a french chef/riddler like villain like HONHONHON BUT CAN YOU MAKE QUICHEEEEE and he could and i was enraged because i had to use a screenshot from google images of someone else who played the game haha. very fun very cute absolutely love the descriptions and story COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU DO WITH THE OVEN GLOVES PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN but had a wonderful time 10/10 would bake a mug just to see what happens again.

**spoilers for those who haven't played yet :) **

hey so prince not actually being chill the whole time may be one of the top betrayals i have experienced i didnt EXPECT this from you i knew jester was more than what he seemed but this knocked me for SIX.

I came to the game hoping it was like my fave game of all time Ib, with a chance to romance the paintings. I felt like the lore was maybe a little too rushed into the end? It doesn't take from the experience of playing it was absolutely enjoyable and worth it to get all endings but it felt like there was a mystery element, and a mystery element, and why did he say that and did he mean this.. and then suddenly YOUREMEMBEREVERYTHINGANDYOUWANTTOOVERTHROWGODANDYOUHAVEANAGENDAANDYOUSAYFUCKALOT like it felt like oh okay so there is lore here I'm with you and then suddenly you were an entirely different sadistic person. I guess it's not entirely unrealistic given the amnesia but we were really nice for the game until that point so it feels so wrong to be very suddenly evil. Anyways, that was my only complaint. The art is so cool and the characters are super interesting too!!

Every now and then you find the indie game that you cannot stop talking about and that stays with you completely. The horror elements felt absolutely masterfully crafted I knew what I signed up for when I started playing the game but the hair on the back of my neck was on END when you're in the cinema and try to get home and everyone is just staring at you my god.

This being a metaphor for abuse absolutely blew me away. I kept playing and playing every horrible end, in the beginning it felt like maybe the cat doesn't know maybe it's adjusting to our world and when it became clear the cat absolutely does know what its doing to you, I kept searching for redemption in it. Having been in a 5 year abusive relationship, the cyclical looking for positives only to be hurt again felt very fresh and raw and so incredibly captured in this format. I'm doing a creative writing degree, and I hope to keep this as an inspiration point for how story can be told and played with and how to properly understand your genre and tropes while still being unique and innovative.

huge fan of rpg maker horror games (ib, witch's house, alicemare) so i liked this! it's a short game, and i would have liked to spend a little longer in the world but the art is fun and the characters and motivations are interesting!

lord help me how much of my student loan is about to go to the dlc and merch for this game ;-;
i was recommended this on tiktok an AGE ago i cannot understand why i didn't make time for it sooner. absolutely loved the design elements, loved the streaming screen, in love with my in game cat. I was a little confused when we never talked to anyone else on the app, with seeing dms just at the side of the screen i was really sure we were gonna get other reapers coming into it. i think that was my overall problem with the base game is grim not getting your soul is just like haha, awh well good thing we're in love. i really wished there had been consequence and a sense of risk in the base game like grim saying if i dont take your soul it will mess up the balance for reapers everywhere just so there felt like there was still a driving force pushing the bet towards the end of the week. the consequences might be in the dlc for all i know at present but i do wish they'd been slightly more present here. all in all though 9 out of 10. it's a phenomenal game and free at that, and absolutely worth a play.

I need this as a novel, I need ao3 to be littered with fanfiction of this, this has gone full hyperfixation for me its so well written, the choices are so thoughtfully arranged and it feels like you make real relationships with the characters. If I was to ask anything more of the game, I might wish the stats were a bit more interesting to read, having them update with ur reflective choices like "You love your mother, but you won't fight unless pushed to" just something that keeps the stats fluid with each chapter but its literally so secondary to my enjoyment of this IF and has me reading The Once And Future King for the 900th time.

**SPOILER WARNING**

If the full version of this game reveals that Lemon was in the cottage pie Mychael serves as your first meal, author you and I have beef now. In all seriousness I loved it I am glad to have managed to go home I truly thought we'd go to sleep at home and wake up back in the cabin again this felt like the where's the next episode moment in Toy Story 2.
