yes, that is true, however, with the custom server (that I made,) you can edit your database once you make it to get your dev pfp, however don't try to do it on the official server.
it is free, it just ask you if you wanna donate, just click on "No thanks, just take me to the downloads"
The latest video related to him speedrunning was on April Fools (so, it was a april fools joke), but he also beated the hardest level, which can takes hundreds of attempts, which can take hours, so he has to record the vid and cut out the part where he fails (which can be hours), and only include the part where he beat the level, so he's basically too skilled. (but if it's tas [tool-assisted speedrun] then it's a different story, but it's kinda possible, since you can pause the game. but it's unlikely that he used tas])
there's some method, most likely getting it off the internet (even though simplest, it's not the safest, thanks to potential viruses), the other way is if you have experience with Godot itself, you can just decompile the game (you may wanna extract the svg from the pck itself since it's webp and you gotta convert it to svg) and make it mobile [there's actually a mobile controls that went unused, but you could make it used]. (not the simplest, but it's the safest)
