FFFFfRICK week 6 is out too? aw crap man i got some work to do

With week 5 out, I'll be making a review on it soon! Maybe this Saturday... I dunno.

I'm very biased too, trust me! I couldn't bring myself to give anything below a 6. But musical preference got in the way for me a bit.

Yeah. I'll never get this time back, haha. It was pretty fun to do.

Your views are interesting, too! I used to be into dubstep but my ears really can't handle it anymore.
Dad Battle is a bop but I have trouble playing it which ruins my fun with it.
I really like Skid and Bump's animations, and the fact they share a mic is pretty cute.
Philly Nice is a little forgettable to me since it's overshadowed by Pico and Blammed.
The mom's voice and animations threw me off at first, too, but listening to Satin Panties over and over to review it really made me love her voice.

Hi. This is my humble opinion on most of the FNF music (weeks 1-4). If anyone wants to discuss this topic further, please reply! I'd love to hear other people's opinions on this game's funky tunes.
So the main points that I'll cover in each song are 1. the vocals, 2. the instrumental/backing track, and 3. how it feels to play it. (my skills are average and I played most of these songs on easy and medium.)
I'll rate the music on a scale of 1-10, and I'll give the week an overall score. (which is just the mean of the scores, rounded.)
Now that we have that out of the way, let's get started. Be prepared to do some reading. (or if you don't wanna read, scroll down. I've set up some lists for my favourite songs and favourite weeks by score.)
(Week 5 review comin soon!!! I gotta wait for instrumentals of the songs to be posted to youtube..)

Week 1

Bopeebo- 8/10 ~ 1. The Dad's vocals are mid-range and nice, and the boyfriend's aren't too pitchy, even though both of their voices can get a bit high at times.  2. the instrumental is simple and bouncy. It's nice to listen to and the "yay" and "woos" are pretty cute. 3. This level is pretty easy, even on hard. It's a nice way to ease the player into how the game feels. It's not my favourite to play because it can be a little slow at times, but I don't mind it.
Fresh- 9.5/10 ~ 1. The Dad's vocals are nice, low, and smooth. The boyfriend's vocals stay pretty midrange and are cheerful, while the Dad is more relaxed. 2. I love this instrumental. The beatboxing beginning is fun and energetic, and the main part of the instrumental is laid back and wavey, making it sound really pretty. The little background vocals and the cheering is nice and doesn't feel out of place. 3. This song is fun to play. It's not super difficult but it's still got a bit of challenge to it. It's the fantastic middle ground of the cakewalk that is Bopeebo and the hot coal floor that's Dad Battle. Speaking of...
Dad Battle- 8/10 ~ 1. The vocals are rapid-fire and on the higher side, but they aren't high enough to make my ears hurt. I enjoy the vocals of this song, though I prefer the lower tones of the dad's voice. The boyfriend's vocals are on the higher side, but they sound fine.  2. The instrumental is high energy and has some smoother parts during the middle and end, which have a sort of mystical feel to them. The screech that pops up in the song from time to time hurts my ears a little bit. Other than that, it's pretty solid. 3. I have a love-hate relationship with playing this song. I struggle on it a little on medium but I haven't passed it on hard. It's got some intricate parts that make it challenging for someone that's got mid-range skills like me. I would rather listen to this song than play it.
The overall score: 8.5/10

Week 2

Spookeez- 8/10 1. The Spooky Boy's vocals are odd in a good way. I enjoy how they sound like a piano near the end. The boyfriend's vocals are pretty good here. They stay midrange and are a bit sing-songy. 2. The instrumental is nice and spooky. It has a lot of piano and keyboard. It's complex at times and pretty fun. I'm not a fan of the voice that seems to be screaming in agony during it. There are giggles and a part where the background vocals say "trick or treat/smell my feet" which is kinda funny. I enjoy this instrumental. 3. I'm not the best at this level. I just barely get by on easy, I can't beat it on normal and I haven't even attempted hard. I prefer listening to this song to playing it.
South- 8.5/10 1. The Spooky Boy's vocals stay sharp and strong throughout, and the boyfriend's are still midrange and kinda sing-songy, which I don't mind. 2. I adore this instrumental. It's sharp, bouncy, and strong. It has bits that are wavey and smooth and the background vocals don't feel out of place. 3. Even though I'm not the best at this song, I still really enjoy playing it! It feels kinda easier than Spookeez IMO, and I enjoy the challenge of it. It feels like a midground between Fresh and Dad Battle difficulty-wise. (on easy mode)
The overall score: 8.25/10

Week 3

Pico- 9.5/10 ~ 1. Pico's vocals are raspy, on the lower side and have some punch behind 'em. The boyfriend's are on the higher side which is a nice contrast to Pico. I also love the duet they do during the song. 2. This instrumental is, hands down, one of my favourites. It's got some punch and some great samples. I love the beginning of it with the kinda ominous sound, and then the cartoon sound effect not too long after. It transitions wonderfully between the punchy parts and the smooth parts. One of the samples sounds like a gun being fired rapidly, which fits Pico and his gun. 3. Playing this song is a blast. It's a breeze compared to week 2, but it's still got a nice dose of challenge. It also gets me hyped for the rest of the songs in week 3.
Philly Nice- 7.5/10 1. Pico's vocals are rapid-fire and raspy at times and have a robotic feel to them at certain points. The boyfriend's vocals are pretty average. They get a bit robotic at one point and it sounds really good. 2. This instrumental is high energy and very robotic. It also has its smooth parts, of course, which flow nicely and are a nice break from the high-intensity points. I enjoy it. 3.  This song is fun to play. It's a bit challenging for me. I don't mind playing it, but it's not my favourite out of these 3.
Blammed- 9/10 1. Pico's vocals are raspy, on the lower side, and robotic at times. The boyfriend's in the middle range but goes on the higher side at times which sounds great in this song. There's some form of robotic echo on his voice on one of his parts which sounds so cool to me. 2. The instrumental is a bit mysterious at first, then kicks into a fantastic robotic and intense high gear. It honestly sounds like dubstep, but the good kind of dubstep. There are a lot of sound effects in this song but I honestly don't mind them, they sound great. I love this instrumental. 3. Playing this song is pretty fun. It's got a nice dose of challenge, but I don't have to break my back to play it well.
The overall score: 8.7/10

Week 4

Satin Panties- 9.5/10 1. The Mom's vocals take some getting used to, but her voice is really pretty! It's high, but it sounds natural. Her high notes sound really good in this song. The Boyfriend's vocals are a key or two lower than the mom's, which was a really good choice. And when the two of them harmonize, it sounds beautiful! The vocals are the high point of this song for me. 2. The instrumental is upbeat and happy! The piano in it is very dreamy and floaty. It's bouncy and kind of sounds like background music to a jazzercise workout tape, which kinda works for me. 3. I enjoy playing this song! I couldn't beat it on normal, but I still have a blast playing it on easy. This song just puts a big ol' smile on my face; they sound like they're having a blast singing together. It's one of my new favourites!
High- 9/10 1. The Mom goes for more midtones during this song that sound really good, and she also does high notes. The boyfriend's vocals are a bit lower and he doesn't go for many high notes, which was a pretty good decision. And their harmonizing and duet is incredible! 2. The instrumental is very chill and relaxing, but still upbeat. It has some more electronic sounding parts that are harsher, but I still think it sounds pretty good. This is one of my favourite instrumentals. 3. I really enjoy playing this song! It was a bit challenging but I had fun.
M.I.L.F-
8/101. The Mom's vocals are still high with lovely high notes, and the boyfriend's vocals are still a key or two lower, but he also goes for some high notes during the song, which sounds pretty good. And their harmonization is really pretty! 2. This instrumental is good, especially at it's floatier and softer points, but I feel like most of it's loud, pounding beats are too harsh for the Mom's voice. It kind of hurts my ears. It doesn't sound as good without the vocals. 3. This stage isn't too difficult on easy, but I had some trouble with it. I liked playing it.
The overall score: 8.83/10

I love this game! I'm usually not drawn to DDR-style games, but this one has stolen my heart! So, I'm gonna give some praise and some criticism.
I'm gonna go over the game in 3 points- 1. gameplay, 2. soundtrack/vocals, and 3. animation/graphics.
1. The gameplay is very fun. It plays like DDR and it reminds me of Parappa the Rapper. The frame rates can be a bit unsteady at times but it stays pretty consistent for most of the levels. I had some issues with frame rate for week 4, but they were minor. However,  I literally couldn't beat week 2 because the frame rate was dropping HARD. I lost on the first song while playing on easy mode because of it.  I am playing on an overheating Chromebook, so that's important to keep in mind. It's most likely an issue on my end.
Sometimes when I get to the intro screen or finish a level, the audio gets stuck and loops on the first note, which is startling but can be easily fixed by restarting the game.

2.  The music in this game is incredible! I like every single song in this game, even if I can't play all of them well. I have little to no problems with how this game sounds. It's incredibly funky and fits the game very well! The vocals in this game are fun and enjoyable to listen to. The boyfriend's voice can be a bit pitchy at times but it's pretty good. I adore how the girlfriend, the dad, the Spooky Boys and Pico sound. However, I'm not too big of a fan of the mom's voice. It's a little pitchy at times and can be unpleasant to listen to. I thought her voice would be more mature and similar to how the girlfriend's voice sounds in the tutorial. Edit: After listening to Satin Panties a bunch, I've decided I adore how the mom sounds! She sounds like an 80s pop star and I really like it.

3. The animation is crisp and clean. Everything has an energetic bounciness to it and it flows smoothly.  And this game's style is so fun and fresh! It feels strangely nostalgic but I can't exactly pinpoint what it reminds me of. I absolutely adore every single design, pose, and animation. I have little to no complaints about how this game looks. It's simply incredible!

Overall I give this game a 4.5/5. I gave half a point off for the issues I had with frame rate stuff. (mostly because it's probably an issue on my end) but I didn't want to take any points off for the mom's voice because I don't wanna be nitpicky. This game is funky as hell and I can't wait to see where it goes!

love the title of this post, it's very poetic. and i like your voice. I subscribed. :)

This game is cute, but I wish there was more customization other than clothes, like changing hairstyles, hair/eye colors, etc.

Absolutely adorable! I wish getting up and getting ready was this easy! Your art style is lovely, btw! :-)

Something I noticed about this game is how the rose changes colors. The first time you enter the Black Rose, the rose is red; red roses stand for romance and passion. It's clear that whoever our main character is meeting has a passionate, romantic relationship with them. The second, third, and fourth loops, the rose is yellow; yellow roses are a way to say "remember me." It seems that the main character and whoever they're meeting have grown distant, and the mistress is calling out to them to come back. At the last loop, the rose is black; black roses represent mourning and death. Our main character's spouse has found out he's been cheating and divorces him, and the love the mistress felt for our protagonist is gone. Both of his relationships are dead, and now he's mourning the failure of his romantic relationships; Both have been lost, and now he's alone.
