pokemon essentials and rpg maker xp does the same thing for basically $2 rather than $70
I genuinely might buy this in both itch.io and steam when it releases because it is so worth it, It's almost 5 in the morning and I just spent the last 5 hours playing through the public demo and absolutely fell in love with every character
