OH MY GOD?? THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE THIS!! I don’t know if I should be happy or sad because of her expression LOL but really this is so sweet and she looks lovely in your style ;-; ♥♥

Also I just updated the game so you should be able to get the other endings now. Again, sorry for the trouble and please let me know if you run into any other bugs!

Wow thank you so much!! I’m glad you enjoyed it despite running into a bug… I’ll update the game ASAP to address the issue, but in the meantime if you load any old save from before you got ending 3 you should be able to get the other endings. I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience and hope that helps for now!

While it’s debatable whether or not you could even consider this a game, that’s ironically what makes it resonate so deeply. I’ve been thinking about tackling suicide/depression in games lately so this gave me a lot to think about. Even as someone with first-hand experience it can feel like an impossible task because of self-doubt. Like what if no one gets it? What if it’s too depressing? What if people think I’m a bad person? etc. etc. So I applaud your courage in putting such a raw and unfiltered depiction out into the world. Thank you for sharing this, and I’m glad you’re still with us today.

There’s nothing I can add about the twists/endings that hasn’t already been said, but I have to say that including a disclaimer at the beginning of the game only to call the player “demanding” and a spoilsport if they ask to see the content warnings is… not great? Even if it’s meant to be part of the ‘meta-ness’ I imagine most first-time players will see it before even knowing about that aspect of the game, and either way it kinda comes across as patronizing at best and antagonistic at worst.

OMG thank you so much for playing my game!! I’m a big fan of yours as well so I really appreciate the kind words :,)

Hi, I used parts of this GUI here, thank you so much for providing such a beautiful resource!

This got many laughs out of me and I’m looking forward to meeting the other monsters!!

I love this so far!! The art’s really cute, the dialogue is well-written, and every character is super endearing (I can’t choose who I like more xd). And even if we don’t know their secret yet, I feel like I can definitely relate to Addison… so I literally can’t wait to play the full game! Great job!

This was SO cool, one of my favorite things is when the narrative is directly tied to the gameplay/mechanics, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like the choice selection before. Great job!!

I ended up getting them!! Clay’s POV was a great addition and I’m actually happy I got the good ending last because I think it was the perfect way to close out the story. I’d love to see more of Xander/Clay & Amber, they’re so cute together <33

I’m glad I finally got around to playing this! I didn’t really read the tags beforehand so the BL elements came as a (pleasant) surprise lol. And it’s a small detail but I love how the credits doodles are different with each ending. Overall I think this has a lot of charm and cool classic horror vibes!

On another note I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the first and last ending CGs in the gallery xd

I really liked this! Great writing and some genuinely unsettling spritework. Looking forward to the full release :>

In the current version it’s just text and sound, but the full game will have accompanying CGs. Hope that helps!

I’m happy to hear that, and thank you I really appreciate it!! :)

First, thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it!! Second, I’m sorry for putting you through the wringer LOL, I wanted the solutions to be a bit unorthodox but not impossible… so I just posted a short guide that’ll hopefully steer you towards the other endings!

Wow, thank you so much for checking out my game and for the kind words, it really means a lot to me!! Honestly, I was worried the gameplay loop would be too frustrating, so I’m glad you think it works.

Also, if you don’t mind just a little bit of handholding: not all names are created equal…

Used once again! Thanks as always https://nihomi.itch.io/lovergirl-liv-demo

Talk about an absolute emotional rollercoaster and the way the backgrounds/gui (including the game title and even taskbar icon) change had is SO cool. I can tell a lot of thought and care was put into this game so huge kudos to the team, I have so many feelings that idek how to articulate but seriously great work!!

This was really cute and tons of fun!

(Also found a minor bug: I got the 'get well soon' card after a successful date with EoC which I'm pretty sure is supposed to be for the bad end?)

After getting all the achievements I can safely say I loved this!!! The comic book presentation and character designs are soso cool along with some gorgeous CGs. Ray was my fav character but I also rlly liked the side charas (Hal my beloved...) Overall awesome work!!

(also idk if its a bug but the colors of the MC and Double's dialogue are suddenly switched halfway through his after story which was a bit confusing)

I really enjoyed this, very polished work for a game jam and made by a solo dev like wow!! Also it was very nice to see a black woman as the protagonist :D

Can't wait to play this, congrats on the release!!

I'm really glad you liked it!! Thanks for playing and thanks again for providing the BG ^^

Great, thank you for clarifying!!

I recently picked up RPG Maker so I'm thinking of incorporating exploration and (optional) combat into my project for the jam. FWIW I still intend for reading to make up the bulk of playtime. But are there specific submission guidelines for what counts as a visual novel? How much gameplay is too much?

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I used one of your backgrounds in my game for the O2A2 game jam: https://nihomi.itch.io/bad-delivery

Thank you so much for sharing your resources!!

Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed it!! Also no worries, there actually wasn't any music due to jam restrictions (just the nighttime ambience)

Wow, thank you so much for (let's) playing, I really enjoyed watching your commentary!!

Also I actually got really attached to the pizza guy while making the game, so I may revisit him... one day...

Thank you so much!!

Thank you thank you hehe

THank you so much!! And ofc he would be ecstatic to take that order lol

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked them both!!

AHHH TYSM!! I really appreciate the kind words!

I loved everything about this!! Great presentation and the subject matter was handled really well

Great music and general vibes! This would make a great Halloween game lol

The naming mechanic was so cool, I could definitely see this concept expanded into a larger game!!

Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)

Alright, thank you for clarifying!!

Re: 1k word limit, what's the policy on repeated use of very long compound words with either no spaces or separated by punctuation (i.e. GoogleDocsCountsThisAsOneWord)? FWIW, I mainly use them for comedic effect in my script but I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to skirt the word limit, so I can cut down on them if need be.

I've been looking for a combined save and load screen for so long, thank you so much for sharing!!!
