I've been looking for a combined save and load screen for so long, thank you so much for sharing!!!

Absolutely fantastic character designs and interesting worldbuilding. I'm excited to play the next chapter!

This game was a lot of fun! The writing is on point and I really love the humor, the characters, the art... Just about everything!

(1 edit)

Methods has been on my radar ever since I played (and loved) Prison of Lies and I'm so glad I finally got around the playing it!! I really can't give this game enough praise. From the art to the music to the gameplay everything is so jam-packed with charm and creativity. It's a game that keeps you guessing and not just about the story; every time I began to think the detective competition was getting a bit formulaic it introduced some new mechanic or concept. It's genuinely impressive how many different well-executed ideas LockedOn managed to fit into a single, relatively short game.

And of course the character writing and sense of humor are top-notch, like I genuinely laughed out loud regularly. My favorite characters are Detective 7XX, Nell, Slakes, Killersoul... the list goes on! Admittedly the POV-switching was a bit jarring at first, but it's a clever way to introduce such a large cast and let you see the game from several different perspectives (though a part of me wishes we spent a bit more time with some characters). The extras menu is also very extensive and lots of fun to go through.

Overall Methods definitely lived up to my expectations. I got it on sale but I think it's well worth the $20 and I'm excited to try out the Canada Files!

This was a nice little demo. The art is gorgeous, and the worldbuilding is interesting. I wonder if we'll find out why everyone is so rude haha. I'm excited to see how this progresses!

This game was the most fun I've ever had with a dating sim!! I ended up getting every single ending in 1 day because I was just that engrossed in the characters and their server world. And I have to say, the writers did a great job simulating discord conversations. I was blown away by the writing despite most of it being internet lingo. There were so many pleasant surprises like the instant bombarding after someone made a typo or the ffxiv ad that really added to the realism. Sometimes I forgot I was playing a game and not just spectating an actual server lol.

I originally only played for Quest but all of the boys stole my heart! The VAs did an amazing job. Especially Toasty and xyx, their calls were just so <333 (I'm a sucker for long eyelashes). I liked how they all had their unique typing styles and you could sorta match their wavelength in your replies. It felt so nice to be rewarded for picking up on things like that :^) And it was great to see older LIs. For once I wasn't reminded of how old I'm getting lmao.

It's not often that I'm so invested in every character, even the side ones (I'll miss you server grandpa...) which just goes to show how good the writing for the characters is. Part of me wishes we got to call the other members even if they didn't get their own route. Also I really appreciated how no one made you feel bad for not knowing much about bloomic. I was so worried I'd be exposed as a fake fan LOL but June and the others were so nice about it!

On a more personal note, the genuine comradery among the characters really stuck with me. As someone who's always struggled with the feeling of belonging, it felt good to be a part of the server even if I knew it wasn't real. Seeing all of them be there for each other was so touching! I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up when I realized it was going to end ;-; I haven't felt this attached to a fictional group of friends since I played Night in the Woods. This game was a wonderful little love letter for anyone who's ever been part of an online community and I commend the devs for all the work that went into it. Bloonini server best server!!!

Lapse is by far one of the best fanganronpas out there and you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not playing it. Admittedly a bit shorter than I'd hoped (~5 hours) but still a very high-quality game. Recommended for DR fans and non-fans alike.

From the characters to the animation to the humor, I was instantly hooked by this wacky little game. I really do hope you continue the series because it was tons of fun! It was also a pretty good mystery and payoff, you perfectly recreated the satisfaction of a good Objection! Great work.

This was great! I love how there's that clear Ace Attorney inspiration (I caught that reference lol) but still a sense of originality, even improving on some aspects of the formula (the timeline feature is genius). I think the dialogue is natural and realistic. And the UI is both thematically and aesthetically pleasing. This is really impressive work, especially for a solo developer. Great job so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product!

A very minor complaint, but there were a few times when I thought the game would reward me for my creativity only to be let down. Like when I got Sunil to give me Jim's number, I tried to use the house phone to call him but there wasn't even an option. Or when Dr. Karlson said she'd email me the self-hypnosis so I went to check my laptop but there were no new emails. I don't mean to say that this is a design flaw or anything, but maybe you could consider more possibilities for the players. Also, the slow walk speed of the MC was a bit frustrating at times. I hope this doesn't come across as overly critical, more so that you only need to iron out a few kinks to have a very high quality game :)

This was great. I love the art direction. Who knew claymation would be so fitting for a visual novel? And the dialogue was super funny, I was laughing the whole time (Warner was a riot). Bravo!

This was a spectacular little game. I enjoyed reading the postmortem. To think that this game was only made in 13 days; that's astonishing! you have a really solid presentation here, especially the sound design.

I thought the lie detector mechanic was a bit gimmicky at first but you made clever use of it towards the end. I could honestly see the concept being fleshed out for a longer, detective-type game.

As an aspiring game dev, I was really inspired by this game! I'm glad I stumbled upon it, and you should definitely be proud of the finished product :)
