👍🏼 the first bug isn't that easy to spot but it's there. Tested with Denise emulator, hadn't time with real hardware

Very good port with enjoyable gameplay, it succeeds in preserving and yet innovating the original arcade in many aspects.
But besides appreciation here's a brief bug report:
1. The sword still in the stone
I noticed this after performing an unintentional sword thrust on the bare ground, in that 👆🏼 point of the map.
The first time the bug appeared, a chimera went to save the day by releasing the hero from his sudden prison with a fireball, shot straight in the face.
But not a second time.
Under the same conditions infact, but without any hostile intervention, the barbarian stayed there in the same Arthurian pose as before, with his sword stuck firmly in the stone, until a soft reset.
2. “Half” the Threat

Thought had accidentally split a crouching enemy in an excess of might but instead was just a glitch.
Left the unsettling scene to slash the bat coming from above but IT suddenly BECAME the Half, which remained there until an upwards scroll.

The glitch repeated once again until a third enemy was defeated and the parasitizing Horror, moving along with him, banished once and for all.
Hope it helps improve the future releases.
Thanks for your reply. Just some more tip, if I can:
- sometimes I like to play with the "draw floors" option turned off, in that case I can't see the shadow enemies (what an amazing mine of quotes this game is). Could you give them color in this mode ?
- if you will add an auto map please make it optional for a true retro feel because back in the good old days we hadn't such gimmicks
- what about a 4:3 ratio option ?
- Lester seems so proud of his moustaches it would be very funny if he occasionally left them on the ground when he loses a life :)
Simply wonderful ! I can't wait to play the final release.
As you said, this little great gem will be released as freeware and of course I'm ok with that BUT, if that can motivate you, I would pay for more games like this !
... and I loved the c64 palette, will you also add 16-bit graphics a la Head over Heels remake, a game speed option and other sound modes ? (a c64 SID chip version would be perfect)
