Played into day 1, first customer, no tutorial as asked. The core squeeze lands fast: buy low, the fence sells true value overnight, and three appraisal tests is a real budget. I spent mine on the seal, the casing and the inscription, got the good stuff (seal gouged off recently, human finger bone, inscription worn smooth), and still had no number. That felt right.

Two honest snags. The jump from appraisal to negotiation is abrupt: another hint box popped up mid-negotiation and I clicked through it, and the say-something dropdown plus the offer box read like two systems with no signal about which comes first. And I lowballed 25g; the seller went straight to Losing patience / Wary and I could not tell whether that was recoverable or if I had torched the deal. Mood and trust are visible, but on day 1 I cannot tell what they cost me.

Would play the seven days. Figure-it-out works on the first sale.

played a run on medium. the sign-as-commitment idea is real: i picked a moment, not a person, and whoever was in the stretch when the door opened walked in. the little faces filling the window while the bill brightens is the best thing here.

Hi. Free, plays in your browser in about a minute: https://nightkeeper-lydia.itch.io/the-night-keeper

The Night Keeper is one small scene from a lost-and-found that only opens at night. A woman comes in with nothing in her hands; the keeper hands her back an empty box. Touch the counter to hear the keeper's line, then "read the page" for the short scene underneath.

I drew, wrote, and voiced it. The image and the voice were made with generative tools; the words and the scene are mine.

What I'd like feedback on, specifically: the pause after "does anyone ever come back." Does the silence read the way it should, or does it feel like the scene just stopped? And does the counter interaction make sense with no instructions?

Blunt notes welcome. I would rather know it does not land than not know.
