Hey Ravid, awesome game first of all! There's so much juice, and I see a lot of potential in this.
Monsters:
I think the monsters could be more interesting, since other than having more health, there isn't really any difference between them. Maybe linking them to the skill tree?: For example, to unlock skills in a certain branching path, you have to kill a certain number of specific monsters? That adds up a layer on top of the gold currency, which is abundant in the late game.
Maybe there would be certain mobs that would drop items? Maybe weapons? A loot goblin that jumps around when getting hit, but rewards you with a cool reward once it's dead.
Weapons:
I didn't really understand the point of leveling up other than getting new swords. Maybe there could be a weapon branching option as well? Bow, sword, and staff? Maybe you won't be able to use the lightning bolt in the skill tree without a staff? Perhaps a player can pick their weapon for the round, or a combination of them? Limited weapons slots, attack styles, etc., there's a lot to explore.
Game Goal Overall:
Lastly, what is this game going to be? Is it going to be an endless whack-a-mole with a huge skill tree where you just go on and on, or is it going to be a game with an end goal (like now, where you open all the skills)? It would be helpful to decide this in order to add and polish mechanics that would best suit your style!
If you want a whack a mole, mechanics that would challenge the player, like making everything dark, slowing their attack, etc., would be cool. If you'd like it to be an endless game just for funsies, then expanding the skill tree and weapons could fit here.
Tiny notes:
If there's going to be any emphasis on the game currency or countdown, perhaps moving them or emphasizing them. In the beginning (bininging), I wanted to know how much currency I get from the bug mobs compared to the small, but it was a stretch to look at the top left corner, so far away from all the action. It wasn't relevant in the late game, however.
I lost the cursor indicator sometimes, especially in the late game with all the juice.
- Thanks for this experience, and hoping to see more!!!
