Thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback — I really appreciate you taking the time to write this!
About the pricing: the “name your price” setting was left on by mistake during submission. While it doesn’t break the jam rules, I agree it’s not ideal for a jam environment where accessibility and feedback should come first. I’ll make sure to keep it free during the event and only consider pricing after it’s over.
Regarding the doors: that’s a completely fair point. The lack of a tooltip/clear indication is on me — I can see how that made it confusing to understand that they were interactable. I’m going to improve the UI and add a proper prompt so it’s clear that you can open them.
About the download: while the jam rules do allow a Windows build, I understand your point about convenience. A browser version or easier access would definitely help more people try the game. I focused on getting a stable build submitted in time, but I agree that improving accessibility is important and I’ll aim for that in future updates/jams.
Thanks again for the honest feedback — it really helps me improve!
Hey everyone! 👋
I just released my game SamuraiTime and I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out and leave a rating or some feedback!
It’s a fast-paced samurai experience with a time-freeze mechanic where you move faster than your enemies can even react ⚔️⏱️
Any feedback, ratings, or comments help a lot and mean a ton to me as a developer 🙏 Thanks for playing!
Hey,
I’m currently working on a game called SamuraiTime for the GameName Jam and I’m looking for someone to collaborate on the soundtrack.
About the game: SamuraiTime is a fast-paced action game with a focus on time mechanics and invincibility. It has a stylized samurai theme, leaning a bit toward a darker atmosphere.
What I’m looking for: Someone who can create immersive music that fits different moments of the game, like combat, tension, and calmer sections. A style inspired by feudal Japan would fit really well, but I’m open to ideas.
Collab info: This is a jam project, so it’s not paid, but you’ll be fully credited and it can be a good addition to your portfolio. I’m open to collaboration and creative input.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or send me a message.
Thanks.
