Narration is great. Control is weird, and everything is so slippery...

Hi everyone!

Please rate my game :) It is short, simple, and sweet. You probably will like it! Rate How to Ride an Elevator Like a Human by Nickwsy for Brackeys Game Jam 2026.1 - itch.io

The idea is great. However, the control feels really weird, and how the game works is quite unclear. Great potential though!

Interesting game, pretty fitting considering the theme. The visuals could definitely use some work, and in the end it is quite repetitive. Camera sensitivity is also too high.

I feel like the dialogue between each level is too much and is breaking the flow. Otherwise it's a very unique experience

thanks for the advice, very helpful

good start as your first game.

Great start as your second video game. My suggestion is instead making many unconnected video game, try to have some connection these games. So that they are a part of a bigger game rather than collection of mini games. Maybe checkout "The Hex".

already played your game few days ago, nice work

After I understand how the gameplay works, I think there is potential in it. I think many players will be confused by all the different planets and plants. I think start with one planet and a few plants, or get rid of the alternative plant thing, so that the player has fewer things to understand at first and gradually add these in.

Your game immediately reminded me of the malware game. The final 3D level is pretty impressive. The only problem is that I think the gameplay is slightly weak.

I like the gameplay. To make it even better, I think the stick could have different buffs or debuffs at different places on the suitcase. It not only fits the theme better, but it also prevents the player from stacking all the stickers in one column.

Great start for your first game. I like the different underground biomes. I feel like the gameplay system is a bit weak. If I were you, I would add a time limit, the player is force to return to the ground after time run out, and the player can sell the stuff they got and buy upgrades to allow them dig faster and deeper, until reaching the final room.

Pretty good as your first game, probably should add audio, and could have more connection with the theme.

Great starting point, I see great potential here. The execution can be better tho, more levels, more challenging puzzle that utilizes the gravity change more (rather than pressing the button in time to fall onto the star), and more diverse visuals. Looking forward to future games :).

The vibe is really good. The first time the scene changes, I guessed wrong many times, because I did not try to remember the scene. Maybe be a bit more clear on that so that the play is less confused.

I instead of having both 2D and 3D, focus on just one, unless there is a strong connection between them. The 2D platformer is okay, but 3D is not good. So just focus on one and make it really good(like adding audio)
The next step is to have a strong connection with theme. What makes a place strange? Maybe blocks can have special function, like red floor makes you jump lower and green floor make you jump higher, and you can make some fun level  base on this concept.

I think you can highlight the object by doing some similar to what I did in my game. I asked ChatGPT for the shader

Very well done. The moving mechanic is a lot like the game "VVVVVV", The puzzles are well designed, like concept of looping world and reverse gravity, all levels are well designed. The player movement will benefit from a bit more polish.

Wow, this is a lot of content for a 7 day game jam. I was kind of stuck of the classroom puzzle. I think having a run through video would help people like me to finish the game. Otherwise great job

Polished and well rounded game. A bit like the Unitiled Goose Game. The theme interpretation is great. I feel like some times it is hard to know which items I can interact with. Otherwise really good

I like the fighting mechanics and the art style. But I feel like the controls for the sword is slight weird

Very well polished game with good core gameplay loop. I especially like the ship's movement effects. I think a problem is the player gets radar upgrade a bit late. Until then, I thought there is only one planet. Another things some of the upgrade are not very usefull, like the movement related ones.

I like the shader effect. One thing to work on it probably the gameplay

The gameplay loop for the vampire survivor is good. I notice that many spells are called 'unnamed spells. Also, after I die and return to the main menu, it gets stuck on a weird screen. You probably just ran out of time, which is understandable.
I think one thing to work on is your theme; try to have a deeper connection between your gameplay and theme.

I could not finish this game, too scary for me. For sure great art and audio

Interesting game, but not sure if the game should be submitted to multiple jams

I like the pixel art, but I don't fully get the 2 and 3 puzzle, I just went through a random door and I got to the next level

Very well polished, and I like the idea of interpreting a "usual" place as a strange place

Nice puzzle. Some very well design puzzles. kind of remind me the game I made for Gobal Game Jam this year
