It might take a few  months more since Gruntsteel is a solo creator and is also working. It's really hard for him to work on the update 

You have to download the patreon version to play Lars special episode 

Usually, creepy event just happens once in a route and will never occur again. If you want to play through creepy scenes again, you have to delete the data of the game or uninstall and re-download it. These scenes, I think, are meant to reveal Walter's dark past or  the danger that he will have to face or his other personality.

There's even a scene where Walter gets stabbed and dies
