This game was just incredible. Everything felt so polished and really looked after very carefully. I would definitely play this if it was a full game. The moment I realized that the sound going downstairs was different to the normal walking was *chef kiss*, those details make the game really standout.
5/5 in every aspect, really well done!

Thank you very much for the comment! I'm glad that you liked the game even though you had to play it 13 times! Dice guy was definitely not a nice guy :D

I'm really happy that you liked it! Thank you very much for the review!
Yep, dice guy was a tough one. I made the game purely random but I should have implemented some way of control it so when you die multiple times things get easier. If you are still interested in the endings I posted them in the game page.
This was my first "finished" project and I'm not that confident yet with my skill to contribute to a team. But I will take you at your word, it is really really appreciated! I will for sure take a look at your game. I already had it on my to-play list hehe, it catched my eye when scrolling through all the games

Yeah I agree 100% with your comment, making it totally random makes the game a tedious the more you play it. I think that, what other person commented would be a interesting change, to make the games more oriented towards memory challenges rather than pure luck (which can be and is not really fair).
Thank you very much for your comment and I'm glad that you like the environment of the game. Regarding the context I left everything for the ending but if luck is not on your side I understand you did not reach them. I will take the note for future projects to provide hints of the lore of the game during the game and not only at the end.
If you still would like to see the endings, I posted the videos for those that could not get passed through the dice guy. They are in the game page if you are still interested. Thank you again for the review :)

Thank you very much for playing the game!
Yeah, making it totally based on luck can be really frustrating, if I ever do anything similar again I will make sure that this luck is somehow controlled so it is not that frustrating. I'm glad you liked the visuals! :)

Such a cool game! Great job!
Story-telling was spot on!

Loved how you adapted the parasite theme. Something in your game made me feel uneasy all the time but in a good way, it was cool. Great job!!

Idea and visuals were really cool! But I have to agree with the other comments, it was quite difficult to follow the instructions, I understand that your intention was to be a bit cryptic here and player needs to decypher what is required, but I think the tutorial needs more guidance to the player, otherwise it can be frustrating. But nevertheless, idea is original and the art style was really unique. Great job!!

Really liked the fight and heal mechanics, it was really interesting. Great job!!

Visuals and sound effects were great!
Sadly I could not get to the end :( no matter what I tried the light always caught me.
But really great game, good job!!

Initial cutscene was *chef kiss*, I didn't expect that in the car, it scared me :D
Flashlight was a bit offset so it was kind of difficult to see what was in every drawer :(

Great game! I'm usually not a fan of this kind of games but I see the potential on this to be a full game that could work. Really well done!

Thank you very much for giving the game a try :)
Yeah, I have to admit that the dice one can be a pain sometimes. I tried to implement a mode where only 1 round was needed per station but I came across some bugs :( Hope that at least you liked the game despite how random the dice was

Concept and visuals are fantastic, that pov is unique.
When guards were about to go for me was not pretty clear, it felt a bit unfair, because I was trying to hide as hard as I could and sometimes a guard just looked at me and was like "yeah lets arrest him".
In any case, experience was really cool and as I said it felt unique.
Thank you for the entry!

5/5 idea, environment, sound design... everything was really really good.
Dude, the phrase at the end had me playing again until I finished the game completely (not saying what it is to avoid spoilers, I honestly think this game must be played).
It made me feel really unconfortable and tense in a good way. Congrats, really great game!
One thing I want to mention, at the end, when I clicked the "Restart" button, I could not move the camera nor move, I think the game was stuck in the ui there, but not sure. Just a minor thing because I closed it and instantly opened the game again :)

Loved the environment, specially the swamp part with the water was really cool.
After selecting the planet to travel to, I thought something failed, but no, the one that failed was me :) I think that a little feedback on what to do after that would help.

I really liked how you incorporated the parasite theme but with a twist, it felt really unique to me.
The art was awesome, I was moving around like, "this is cool".
Thank you for the entry, great game!

Thank you very much for passing by :)
Yeah, I do not know why the dice one is that difficult to win, torque, direction and force were all to be random every time :(
If you didn't have the chance to see the endings and would like to know, please check the page of the game.
I posted a video of the two endings there.
Thanks again for playing!

Thank you very much, your comment means a lot to me. It is like the first time I have a "finished" game. I'm a solo dev :)

Hi, I recorded and uploaded both endings to Youtube.
I have added them to the game's page for you or any person interested to watch it: https://neverfeeder.itch.io/liberation
Thank you and wish you a great day! :)

I really liked the art and the sound, every time the knocking started I got nervous :D
Being honest I did not quite understand what I had to do, but it was cool!

Thank you very much for the comment, it is really appreciated!
Yeah, I can  100% relate to your comment, when I was testing it I lowered the attempts per game to one, but I wanted the final game to have 3 per each "station".
When the game jam was extended one day, I added the pause menu and I tried to also add a "easy mode", which you would enable for the next respawn (only one attempt per station), but I came accross a few issues and could not add it to the submission :( Have you seen the endings? If not I can record them and add it to the game entry as a spoiler for those where the random is too random.
Again, thank you very much for playing! :)

Thank you very much for the comment! This was my first attempt at doing some animations like this so I'm really happy that you liked it. Thank you very much for playing the game! :)

Glad you noticed the numbers in the uniforms :) Initial idea was to have a lot of different textures and make it change after every respawn. But I'm not that experienced texturing yet :( Thank you very much for playing!

Thank you very much!! It is really appreciated!

Really nice game! Good job!
It kept me in tension the whole time :D
Something to improve would be the camera, it was kind of hard to select the option you wanted :(

Thank you very much for your comment!
Yeah, the multiple levels / abilities was on the roadplan, but did not managed my time properly.
Lessons learned for the next one 💪

I actually liked this game!!
Had fun and got frustrated (in a good way) trying to beat my highscore.
Really really nice! :)

Pretty good, I don't know how many times I have rolled that dice.
Well done!! :)

Yeah, did not managed to get sound in time :(
For the next one I will add sound for sure, thank you very much for the feedback!! :)

I really liked it!
Was fun to play, bad luck for me always rolling the bad faces of the dice :(, but nice work!!

Thank you very much for your comment!

Yeah, adding sound would have made it way better, my time management was not as good as I though to create everything. First time trying to submit something to a gamejam, but next time will be better 💪.
